Groovy lil joint!

Groovy lil joint! Visited on a busy Saturday, took about 5mins to get a table and about 5mins to get some menus/ table water. The service after that was quick and the guy who served us was friendly and had good banter! We got a few dishes all were yum- foragers plate was especially delicious. Will be back again!

Of course there we had to wait a wee while to be seated as this place is SO popular. Once we looked at the menu and looked at plates being served we could see why. Our waiter was super helpful and cheerful (helps make a great start to the day) and the food was DELICIOUS. My gluten free potato rosti was fantastic and my husband's eggs benedict with crispy bacon was top notch! We will definitely make a point of returning next time we visit Burleigh Heads.

Best Coffee and Food

I had read about this place and took a walk up there from Burleigh and it was about a 10min walk. What we found was a great little cafe with lovely staff that obviously enjoy their job. I had food envy as I watched other people get their food before ours came out and I was very impressed indeed. Probably the best coffee and food I have tried on the coast in a long time.

Over rated, poor service

This place was a let down, so many better cafes in Burleigh Heads and Main Beach. We ordered the coriander corn fritters (small portions) and an extra $7 for 1 rasher of bacon ridiculously over priced. The coffee was good, however customer service poor had to ask several times for some extra water. Some of the staff were more interested in chatting to their friends and socialising like they were at a party rather than serving paying customers. My husband’s tomato was several inches thick like a cricket ball with the top cut off!. At $63 for 2 breakfasts and coffees over priced. Would not be back, so many better places in Burleigh that are friendlier and better value. Ended to improve their customer service and be friendly to all not just their friends!

Haloumi & mushroom burger get in my belly

The haloumi and mushroom burger is mouth-wateringly good! We also enjoyed the dragon fruit bowl that came with an array of fresh fruit and was huge (larger than appears in my photo). Both of these were from the takeaway menu during Covid so uncertain whether they are still available, but I am reassured that the rest of the menu would be equally tasty (particularly keen to try the caramelised banana pancakes next time). Service was warm, friendly and quick, and easy street parking is available. Excited to try Commune again sometime and hopefully eat-in as the indoor and outdoor areas look so groovy.

Fantastic coffee and food

We did our research and this was our first brunch stop after arriving in the GC. We will be back it was outstanding! The menu was interesting and the food was tasty, coffee alone was worth the visit as well as the carrot cake we took away. Any cafe that does a really good thick sourdough, eggs and a homemade relish gets my vote. We also enjoyed the salad of the day. Lots of good traditional options and a broad selection of bowls that looked inviting and we’ll be back to try! No dedicated kids menu but didn’t matter. Lots of space and shady areas to sit. Absolute must visit!

Corn Fritters were dry and tasteless

I couldn’t eat the corn fritters as they were so dry and tasteless. I talked to the staff about the issue and as I didn’t want to chose something else, I was made to pay full price for the food and just offered a free coffee. I won’t be back. It’s a shame as this place used to be so good.

Wow, their food is GOOD!!!!!! We ordered their fish tacos and corn fritters with a side of bacon plus a mango smoothie. The smoothie was a good size, cold and thick but can’t say that there was much of a taste of mango ? The 2x fish tacos full of flavour with the accompaniments making my mouth tingle. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooking. “Deliciousness in a taco” The corn fritters were absolutely yum yum right until the last bite. The outdoor seating was excellent and seating comfortable. Definitely restored my trust in good cafes producing good food. It’s a bit pricy but don’t mind do much when the quality is of a high level

One of the best breakfasts on the Gold Coast

We arrived on a very hot day and were greeted by the friendly staff. The place was quite busy but we were seated reasonably quick. The service was fast; the staff were on the ball for everything. The eggs florentine was delicious - very well balanced and with a generous serving of potato rosti. I would highly recommend this place

great little hideaway

Great little cafe just offset from the highway. All the food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing, the coffee was very good, our food tasted as great as it looked. The staff we very polite and attentive as well. We will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu choices.

Terrific coffe and food

Our family (2 adults and 2 kids) stopped in for lunch and we weren't disappointed. We ordered fish tacos and the avo on toast, very tasty! We even had food envy when we saw some of the other dishes going to other tables. The coffee was just right and the kids loved their juices and smoothies. Highly recommended for a visit.

Amazing start to the weekend

Good, decor and service was awesome! Amazing coffee and açai bowel , smoothie and chill crab scramble were delicious - highly recommend! Had to wait a short bit for a table but well worth the wait❤️

SO GOOD!

We have been staying close to the commune and went there for breakfast today and had truly wonderfully nourishing beautiful meals. So grateful to experience such delightful food, rare indeed! Coffee and Chai also top shelf, cannot praise this place enough, be back to enjoy as much as possible before leaving Gold Coast. Namaste 🙏🏻

Brunch where you can have all day breakfast

Loving the new additions to the menu. Arrived today and noticed the pancakes had been reinvented. Apple crumble pancakes were divine. My Hubby had the New Mexican inspired chicken burger and demolished it in no time💕
