Cheap, tasty and freshly made, albiet a bit on the mild side. The kofta balls are particularly moorish!
$13 for a plate of two curries and rice (dine in) or $12 takeaway. No table water though.

Delicious vegetarian meals cooked fresh daily. Specialty home made drinks include mango lassi & a tasty ginger lemon drink. Friendly staff with joyful smiles, peaceful ambience with meditative music

Govindas at Burleigh has tasty vegetarian food at pretty reasonable prices, with good hot foods, beautiful salads and nice deserts. The vegetable lasagne is delicious. We live in Burleigh Heads, are not vegetarian, but we often go to Govindas to grab a delicious, healthy vegetarian takeaway which we take down to eat beside the beach or at Burleigh Point. Life is good, when you but food at Govindas!

I had not been to Govindas at Burleigh in over a year. To my surprise and disappointment the quality and serving sizes had decreased yet the prices had increased.
Prior to covid we were regulars at Burleigh Govindas as our whole family is vegetarian and it was always great, somewhat of our Sunday tradition, good quality meal with a decent serving size which is great when you have teenagers, also the place was so cosy to eat at, the way it was set out you would end up talking to people at the next table and have a great time, but not anymore.
Today my son wanted to go and seeing it had been so long I thought why not, we get there and it reminds me more of a dental office rather than a place to eat. The table set out is no longer family friendly, it feels sterile and unwelcoming. The food lacks flavour and the serving size was almost half what they would have served a year ago (I had to feed my son again when we got home) and with such a jump in pricing Govindas Burleigh is no longer the place to go for value. This place was always busy for every meal any day of the week but I can see why it was not busy, today was the first time I had been there in 7 years and not waited in line to be served.
If you want a great vegetarian meal full of flavour with big servings go to Lucid in Murwillumbah, same concept but with true Hari spirit, they are what Govindas used to be only better than they ever were and from what I experienced today, ever will be again.

Wow! I would like to thank Gloria personally for going above and beyond to make my dine-in experience special. I have always loved the food at Govindas, but when we decided to dine-in last night, I wasn't expecting the incredivble level of service we received. Thank you!

I have enjoyed Govindas many times over the years as both a takeaway & dining in option.
Each time the service has been friendly, patient, efficient.
The food is always hot, delicious, fresh, tasty. Desserts are pretty & yummy.
I like that it is a small shop. People come early, line up (People watch). It adds to the ambience. Govindas is an unpretentious treasure.
Decent sized servings at great prices. My mouth waters whenever I think of their food.

Having eaten Govindas food for sometime now, I have fallen in love with vegetarian food.
The Lasagne was extra special and tasted yummie; the Spinach Filou in Kingscliff was light and fluffy just with the right amount of cheese and spinach, my earlier Spinach Filous From Burleigh felt heavy on the cheese and weak on spinach.
The pumpkin and ricotta cheese bake in Burleigh is excellent.
The food is really what makes Govindas such a great place ....and destination, however with 3 restaurants they really need to watch their standards...Burleigh certainly Is a hard act to follow.
I suppose it all comes down to setting the standards and then keeping them.....

I usually get the same each time. About 4 kofta balls, vegetable curry and rice.
When I don’t feel like cooking at home it’s always off to Govindas at Burleigh Heads. Nothing beats it!
Their menu is pretty extensive and they have sweets as well.
Prices are reasonable. The lack of Seating at peak times may be challenging due to COVID but other than that, it’s a nice clean and healthy vegetarian choice. ❤️ Govindas.

The food here is really excellent. The place is not much to look at and easy to walk past except for the queues of people lined up to order food which is cooked on the premises. The staff are friendly and seem to care about how you actually liked your meal. It's not table service and it's not fancy but whether you're a vegetarian or not you should definitely try Govindas.

Beautiful fresh salads - one with pumpkin the other with beetroot purchased to accompany our bbq dinner. Two large salads were enough for four adults. The place is always busy so the salads are super fresh.

Tasteless mush!! Everything tasted the same even though I ordered 4 different things to try . Yuck where is the flavour and seasoning. I don’t understand why anyone likes this; doesn’t anyone have any tastebuds . I could never eat this slimy mush again .😵💫🤮

Sunday evening dinner with lots to choose from the hot cabinet & salad selection. Constant queue testifying to popularity. Good prices make the healthy vegetarian venue attractive to everyone. Staff stay smiling behind Covid masks. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal & mango lassi plus cheesecake desert.

Definitely value for money and healthy. Vegetarian. There’s some tables to eat at but they are often full. Best bet is to get it take away. The 3 options and rice is so filling.2 options and rice is just right . Can choose from hot food or salads or both. Staff are lovely

Visit Burleigh as it is a cool we spot and great shopping for guys and girls. And I like Govindas for the food selection they provide. This time I was only in for a quick sago pudding but would love to stop here for lunch.
