Not Only did you turn my friend away for being asian, but then told us that if she had entered the restaurant with the rest of her white friends she’d have been let in? Openly racist much? Jesus Christ.

I went to Pavilion on Saturday with my husband for my friend birthday. We arrived there 6pm and the line was huge, we spent over one hour waiting and saw many people getting in the club from the other side (with the security consent, not...sure why all those people could get in without waiting like the rest of us). Regardless, we waited patiently. We spent almost $400 in the bar - just me and my husband. I don’t mind paying for expensive drinks, but i expect at least a good service. One of our friends couldn’t get in so I went outside to talk to her. Then when I tried to get back the security guy said it was 11:30pm and no one was getting in anymore. I’ve tried to explain I was already in there and he treated me in a very disrespectful way, wouldn’t even look at me while trying to explain my situation. My husband was inside waiting for me and I left everything inside, including my phone. So i tried to explain the situation to another security asking if he could at least go inside with me to let my husband know we had to leave, because he didn’t know i was outside and he would be waiting for me. Again, didn’t even look at me and kept saying nobody is coming in, and started to push me asking me to leave the front door of pavilion. I never felt so humiliated in my whole life in a place. I’ve just spent hundreds of dollars in a few hours to end up being treated like a piece of S* by these super rudes security guys. I’ve created a pool on my instagram account asking my followers that have been there before if they had a good experience. From 98 people who have replied 55 replied they had a bad experience. A lot of them wrote back to me with the situation they have been through and most of the times is about the security guys. Then I went to check the reviews on google and trip advisor and realised this have been happening all the time with many people. Most of the bad reviews are about your bad service and majority of them relate to your security staffs. So what’s going on Burleigh Pavilion? How come you don’t do anything to change these guys attitude towards to your clients!? You simply don’t care - Shame on you! So for everyone thinking about going to this place, yes, nice view, beautiful place, good food, good drinks but be ready to PAY high prices to be treated in a very disrespectful way.More

Failed to honour booking of a young family due to the husbands tatoos. Despite driving down from Brisbane to celebrate their first Father's Day with a 9 week old baby. Despite also happily serving this same family in May, with no mention about the tats....Don't whinge about lockdowns costing you money. If you lose custom it's because this family, extended family and friends will never set foot in your establishment again.More

This place is Australian white privilege at its finest. If you have an accent don’t bother going or they’ll physically pick you up and throw you out like trash

My Family and myself our Burleigh locals. We have lived here 15 years and are raising our young family in the heart of Burleigh. We regularly enjoy a drink or a meal at the Pav. We have not had any issues at the venue until...now. I usually don't write reviews but what I experienced and witnessed cannot go without comment. My friend and I visited the Burleigh Pavilion last Friday after work. We arrived around 4:45pm and patiently waited in the que. The usual security/bouncer was on duty.. The venue does it best to follow Covid restrictions by limiting the number of guests inside. We waited for about a half an hour. At this stage there were a group of girls in the doorway about to be let in. Behind us were a group of gentlemen that were irritated with the line. One of them said " Don't worry, I've got this" They ushered the security towards them and appeared to hand him a green $100 note. Security asked them how many were in their party? They said 5. At this time, the group of girls were removed from the doorway and asked to get back in line. The security then ushered the gentleman in, along with two girls they picked up in line into the Pavilion. My friend and I were next and she asked the security why he removed the girls and let the men in? Is is because he gave you $100? That wasn't right to do that to them. He became irate and asked if we would like to see the CCTV footage. We said yes we would. He then left to speak to the managers standing across the line. When he came back he told us we had to leave and escorted us out of line. This was beyond humiliating. We were penalized for asking a question regarding the unfair treatment of others then asked to leave. We left and went to speak to the two managers. They were not interested in what we had to say. At no point, did we ever raise our voice or get angry. The manager Jeremy was utterly disrespectful and condescending. Without hearing what had happened from us, he blindly supported his security and blamed the incident on table numbers. The other manager refused to give us his name. He put his hand in our face and said I am done speaking with you "girls" The way the men in charge at the Burleigh Pavilion treated us WOMEN was disgraceful. It is quite clear that this behavior is accepted and a regular practice at the Pavilion. What has happened to Burleigh? This shouldn't become some Las Vegas night club where bribery is the new currency. If you want to support a Burleigh venue that is inclusive and non discriminatory, may I suggest the newly renovated Burleigh Surf Club. It's just a few meters away. It has gorgeous views of our beloved Burleigh Beach and staff that treat the community with respect.More

rude service staff, no table service, had to order everything at the bar - so slow and terrible!! also got ripped off and made to purchase their masks just to walk in the restaurant door - not the main door, to dine in… just for...10 seconds until we sat in our seat, then its masks off for everyone again until you leave hahaha such a joke. only good thing about this EXPENSIVE place is the nice view - if you get a seat.More

Great location, but management is appalling! Todd (child manager) deemed that after 2 x drinks that that was enough, would not server and caused a big fuss. I cannot believe how bad the experience was, and while they focus on drinks in the bar, turn...a blind eye on what goes on in their toilets? Such a shame as it is a great location, average food, bad service and seriously bad management. It really takes the Gold Coast back in time, and you feel like you are in a very backward town. I have enjoyed many times in bars, clubs, restaurants, etc… and never been scrutinised and denied drinks. Must be something else going on there, as I literally had 2 x drinks, and we left and I drive home? Steer clear especially if you are celebrating…the people managing the bar are too unhinged, and can wreck your night with one bad decision. No questions asked. 0 / 10 from me. 👎🏼More

Came here for pre dinner drinks. Had a great table, the drinks were nice and we also got some finger food to have. Even though it was not cheap the atmosphere and quality of the food was great and when one visits a place in...a location like the pavilion you have to expect to pay a little more.More

I love this place and normally always have a great time here but that wasn't to be yesterday. Maybe being a Monday, they have the average staff at work because the service in the main bar area was lacking big time. I went to the...bar in the open area first and although there were only a few people standing there waiting for cocktails to be made, all the staff were in fact making cocktails with no one else left to serve anyone who may just want a beer or wine. I think that's a little crazy. I work in hospitality and we have dedicated people making cocktails and other staff to serve customers who only want a beer/wine etc. It's much more logical. I got a little frustrated and walked into the other room and that bar nearer the tropic part of the place and there were 2 young girls serving. Again, one was making a few cocktails, so I turned to the other young girl who was filling up water carafes and at no time could I get her to look at me or acknowledge me. I was left there more or less invisible. I then got more frustrated and grabbed my other guests and we left. We then went to another venue that actually respects their patronage. So in a nutshell, I boycotted this place yesterday.More

Went for lunch with Husband. I have been before it was ok, Husband got his pizza really quick but mine, saw food sitting on counter for quite a while. Later found out that was mine. Hamburger was cold, chips lukewarm. Sent it back. Eventually mine...came back out after it had been walked around restaurant as they were trying to find our server for her to bring to me. Husband had finished his pizza before they had removed my 1st order. This time chips were hot but burger was still only mildly warm. At one point saw 6 servers standing talking and there was so much food waiting to go out to customers. All servers look miserable, non were smiling or interacting with customers. Pizza very salty.More

I'd say yes if you want to eat at the restaurant at the left when you climb the stairs. For the $20 lunches the area is to the right of the top of the stairs. You can't book tables. Call the restaurant, they were helpful... More
