Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As Scottish tourists our family were keen to take us to see Leura. We decided to stop there for Lunch. The Wazygoose caught our eye. We were so glad that it did. What a hidden wee gem of a place. Excellent food. Excellent service. Varied menu...and child friendly. Highly recommend.More

Our daughter got the New York Pizza Bagel (opted not to have the relish, still unsure what they are going with having that on a pizza) Bagel arrived with sliced pepperoni and melted cheese on top …… with NO PIZZA SAUCE! 🤯 Might want to...change the name on the menu to just a Toastie Bagel….More

Hi, like all the names on the menu we were having fun with it! It’s a Bagel, listed under the Bagel section of our menu- the pizza -like part is the topping. The tomato relish, cheese and pepperoni- with all ingredients clearly listed on the...More

Very disappointing and overpriced. About half of the menu items we selected weren’t available (eg:only 2 out of the 5 or 6 burgers, no onion rings, no fried pickles etc) and we were only advised this once we had ordered and the waitress came back...to tell us. The hamburger was smaller than what you would usually expect from a cafe/restaurant and came with a very small handful of overcooked fries- for $25, not worth it. The table next to us complained that they still hadn’t received their child’s meal and they were advised it was because the restaurant was full so the kitchen couldn’t keep up. We were told takeaway coffee wasn’t available for the same reason. I had to ask at the counter to see the bill before we paid and sure enough, items that were not available had been charged anyway. Love supporting the local small businesses but definitely won’t be back.More

Quaint little shop, the staff were helpful and the food delicious. We were recommended the scones in a pot and they didn't disappoint.

Very good breakfast and very good value. Service was good, friendly and promptly. Easy to park out the front, even on a busy Saturday morning.

I cannot tell you how excited I am to find somewhere that makes a caramel latte that tastes like a caramel latte and not a coffee with extra sugar posing as caramel. It is heaven!!! The coffee is unlike any I have had elsewhere and...I will be returning again and again and againMore

After 2 days holidaying at Leura and having rubbish food at a few places we finally tried this. From the moment we walked in I felt very calm. The decor is very welcoming, staff attentive straight away. The food was so well presented. Their sour...dough amazing!! NOT the stuff I had had the day before across the car park from them. My poached eggs perfection and my wicked hash brown yum. My tomato sauce served in a love heart. Loved the quiet music and atmosphere. We will return.More

It was sad to see how bad it’s become. We waited quite a while after ordering our food. We ordered sandwiches, coffee then also paid for their traditional flowerpot scones as a treat for after lunch. Sad to have the scones come out first, then...the not so nice coffees (cold) then the toasted sandwiches which were not very nice either. The whole experience was very disappointing, and to add to it, the scones were rocks and inedible. I’m so sorry but had to be said.More

Visited after reading great reviews on famous scones. Walked in was told to take a seat and they would come take our order. After waiting some time went to the counter to order. Waitress said wait a minute other waitress will take your order. Order...tea and scones. Scones arrived were very dry. Tea arrived 10 minutes after we had eaten scone. Slack service.More

We chose to eat here for the decor. We ordered milkshakes which were very good, they tasted like milkshakes of old times. When my daughter asked for almond milk she was asked if she still wanted ice cream and cream, which I always think is...a nice thing to do. Food was ok, very reasonably priced. Big serves. Service was nice. But the delivery of our meals was staggered. All in all nice lunch. I would go back.More

Coffee was great however the service was terrible. The young girl wearing a midriff serving us was rude and seemed annoyed that we were there and requiring service. "Do yas know what ya want yet?" Was what she started with. Enjoyed her Coffee but won't...be going back due to service.More

We stopped at Leura on our way from the central coast home to Merriganowry, and chose The Wayzgoose Diner as our lunch spot. So delighted that we did...lovely, friendly staff greeted us and took our order; the atmosphere was snug, welcoming and cozy on a...cold Winter's day, and the food, when it arrived (very quickly, I must add) was sublime...my smoked salmon Turkish toastie was delicious! We will most definitely be making a stop at the Wayzgoose a must on our future trips through the Mountains.More
