We often dined at the Japanese restaurant in this location and were disappointed when it closed, but the current owners have redecorated the restaurant and created a welcoming and attractive ambience. The food is very good: we especially liked the Specials: Peking duck and sate chicken, both of which were interestingly presented and delicious. The friendly service, along with very reasonable prices, should ensure that this is a restaurant which locals as well as visitors can frequent on a regular basis.

Set in a 1900’s coach house, with 1920’s joss house decor this little place exudes charm, asdo the staff. We had the perfectly prepared crispy salmon and my partner the Chuck Norris chicken, the lemon cream tarragon sauce was to die for and they were kind enough to make exchanges to my meal to accomodate my dietary needs. My dessertand cocktail were delicious as well, will definitely visit again!

My adult daughter and I ate here on a Friday night - we had fillet steak which was perfectly cooked and the crispy Brussel sprouts were a show stopper. My daughter had salmon, also beautifully cooked with crispy skin. For dessert I had the lime cheesecake which was wonderfully smooth and zesty. My daughter had the caramelised banana tart and said it was the best desert she’d ever eaten! The staff team are very welcoming and friendly and the service is excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

What a find...we were very happy to see this place, and then read so many good reviews. We were not disappointed, especially as we have a 13 year old who’s not quite as adventurous with her food as she might be. Just the dips and a side of bread to start (both great, especially the creamy taramasalata), followed by the Balinese yellow curry, beef cheeks, and chicken satay...all were really delicious, portions substantial, and well presented. As mentioned elsewhere, the space is quirkily decorated, including the bathrooms, and it works well. The staff are great; very friendly, and happy to talk through what’s on offer. As a visitor to Leura, it’s one place we will definitely go back to the next time we’re here - recommended.

Madam Wangs is no secret in the Blue Mountains, so we were delighted to get a booking despite it was school holidays and the area was jammed with people over the Australia Day holiday period. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with an eclectic mix of items that, although some are simple touches, creates a warm, peaceful ambience. The staff made us feel most welcome and the menu is a great mix of cuisines,( some Asian, some European, ) with the "Madam Wangs" twist that makes them special. A most enjoyable meal at a reasonable price. We will certainly return on our next trip to the Blue Mountains !

Travelled to the Blue Mountains for the weekend with family (13 of us) for a birthday celebration. Had Friday night dinner at Madame Wang's and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. My grandson, who is a fussy eater and usually shares a little of his mum's dinner, nearly polished the whole chicken fillet with tarragon & lemon cream sauce off by himself. The Wayan's Rendang Curry also received rave reviews.

Of all the places on the planet you would never have guessed a restaurant like Madame Wangs would exist in Leura. More trendy Surry Hills or Newtown in Sydney. As you enter the Quirky Asian decor hits you in the face and you are automatically drawn into what is Madame Wangs ambiance. The food is fusion of east and west It’s simple but delicious. On the night we enjoyed the sashimi of salmon, calamari and fig walnut Brie tart. The duck and beef cheeks had a rich sauce. Rhubarb and Apple pie was tasty and had the most delicate pastry. You must try the Madame Wangs licorice and chocolate truffles. They are like soft gooey chocolate bullets. So moorish. Try the chefs specials. They serve wine, beer and cocktails and offer byo. Definitely on our list to revisit. It’s worth the trip.

So happy that Team Wang embraced the current situation and that we could have a wonderful meal from there at home. Excited that on the first night of change due to Covid-19 recent restrictions we could eat from one of our favourite mountains restaurants. Thanks Team Wang for a delicious meal

Madame Wang is not a Chinese restaurant nor it is an Asian/European fusion place. The décor is a eclectic mix of Asian items, from Chinese posters to Indian artwork. The food is based on the European and Asian heritage of the owners. We had an Indonesian lovely rendang with properly cooked rice and a Jaeger Schnitzel generous in proportion. Madame Wang’s come from an Andy Warhol’s movie, which I now must see. I would recommend this place for a diverse type of cuisine.

We found this restaurant on google and wandered up not really knowing what to expect. The entrance is around the back and up the stairs which opens up to a beautiful restaurant with lots of dining options some with room dividers to give you a sense of having your own space. The food was amazing so mush so that we ended up having 3 courses. The menu expansive with something to suit everyone's taste. A must do restaurant when visiting Leura. We will be back.

This restaurant is not Asian as the name suggests. It is a very small restaurant where the staff are very friendly & chatty. For starters we had Shogun Bread which was served warm with sea salt & balsamic. Mains we had Special Duck which had a hoisin sauce, full of flavour. I had the Chuck Norris Does China Chicken, (yes the names of the food items are great). The chicken was cooked beautifully and came with a lemon & tarragon sauce. Both meals came with a salad, plus the chicken also came with rice. Both meals were beautiful & I would recommend to book ahead

The first and last time I have eaten at Madame Wangs. The ambiance was terrific. Service was pleasant, but I was shocked at the bill, especially when the food was reminiscent of a roadside caff. I don’t often write reviews and try to avoid negative ones in particular, but our experience was so disappointing I felt I had to on this occasion, unfortunately. I really hope they improve because there are not many options in Leura and they are obviously banking on not having to try too hard to attract customers when the options are limited.

Visited Madame Wangs for the first time, had driven past many times but never noticed the restaurant. We went for a birthday dinner with family & friends, the atmosphere is great, the service great and the food delicious. We all ordered something different from the menu and everyone said how delicious their meal was. The entree was Madame's Tart (a leek & asparagus tart) delicious, then main meal was a chicken dish, sorry I forget the name but again was delicious then finished of with Lime Cheese Cake perfect. Extremely enjoyable night and can't wait for an excuse to head up the mountain for dinner in the near future. Thank you to the staff at Madame Wangs for looking after us so well.

When we visit the Blue Mountains we always dine at Madame Wang's in Leura. This is the best food and dining experience available with friendly and welcoming staff, a cosy artistic restaurant with a mix of vintage and Asian decor. A recent inclusion is the stunning bar area and high standard of drinks. The schnitzel with mushroom sauce, salad and crispy potatoes is our favourite! If you are in the area on your next trip, make a booking and experience the warmth and fine cuisine the owners and staff provide their guests.

This place is a must visit when spending time in the lovely Blue Mountains area. It is hard to put into words how much we loved our visit to Madam Wangs. From the quirky location and look of the place, to the outstanding service, and of course, the amazing food. I cant remember enjoying a restaurant more in a long time (I would eat at over 100 restaurants in a year). Highly recommend the Crispy Salmon, Chuck Norris Chicken, and the Margaritas are awesome! Guys, congratulations on setting up an amazing business and a wonderful food offering. Cannot wait to visit again!
