We were so looking forward to trying the restaurant again and supporting local business. Unfortunately on the day of the booking, 4 of our party of 6 had to go into isolation due to COVID rules. We immediately contacted the restaurant to advise and, as...no one answered, we left a voice message to cancel. 30 mins later we called back to be told that they had booked our table of 6 with another waitlisted group of 5 so they would charge my credit card with $80 for the 1 person missing. The conversation continued with the lady (owner) talking continuously over me and finally saying : “it may not be your fault but it’s not ours either. When you signed up to make the booking you saw it was 48 hour cancellation policy”. When I politely tried to point out they already had a replacement booking and…. in these times … it could be a sign of goodwill to not charge for 1 person as the cancellation was not through our choice, she just hung up! I honestly wasn’t being rude or angry. Several times I had heard the food was good but the service was questionable but I thought I would try the restaurant on its own merit. Unfortunately, what I had heard was proven correct. My experience wasn’t just “questionable” it was rude and unfair. My advice is don’t book here if you are at all concerned about service. It seems quite unreasonable for a business to ask for local support when they don’t demonstrate support for their customers. Of course, in these uncertain times we will not book here again and, with a number of other restaurants to choose, Pins on Lurline will not be our choice.More

We enjoyed the food and the wine But we were frightened tables are crammed very close together no social distancing young female wait staff wore masks But not the hosts the male host had a mask around his neck, he came uncomfortably closet us ,...leaning over us, unmasked, as he asked how we were the female hostess, described the wine with expertise, also had a mask around her neck, mouth and nose uncoveredMore

We went to Pins for a special family night out and we’re so pleased we drove up from Sydney for an amazing experience. The four of us each had the 6 course tasting menu which was perfect. Each course was presented perfectly and was just...the right amount of food - with just the right amount of time in between courses. We shared 2 sides - chat potatoes and salad (both incredible!!). All the food was amazing and better than a recent hatted resturant we went to in Sydney. The service at Pins was attentive and friendly and just right. The owner Jody was genuine and friendly in her chats and the chef came out to greet the diners, which was a lovely intimate touch. We are already planning our next experience at Pins. Thank you Pins for a faultless evening!More

WOW. WOW. WOW. The food, the staff, the house, the ambience, the wine. WOW. Everything was just incredible. The staff were so welcoming and really made our 9 year old daughter feel special. Thanks especially to Leon! You're a legend! Incredible value for money with...the matched wines. We loved every dish. I even loved the salmon when I normally don't even like salmon. That's how good they are here. The best service we have had in years. Keep doing what you're doing, we'll be back soon. Thank you!!!!More

Pins is one of the best in the upper mountains with wonderfully flavoursome dishes that are beautifully presented and carried off with attentive and helpful service. The six course menu provides a taste of everything and is the perfect way to spend a long Sunday...lunch or dinner. There are options for dietary needs as well. Set inside a grand old building it’s faultless and perfect for any occasion. We come back time and time again and remain impressed with the attention to detail from front, to back, of house.More

Dinner at Pins was a very enjoyable experience. The restaurant is in an old house on the road from the town centre to Echo Point. The staff were very helpful and the 6 course menu that we had was wonderful.

Fantastic food. We had the 6 course degustation menu and the food was top quality. We even asked for gluten-free and lactose free options which they were very flexible to accommodate (the chef even came out to double check with us directly). Great service, fantastic...food presentation, warm atmosphere & a place we would come back to.More

Hi Danielle C, we do have meal options for children. Spaghetti bolognese, chicken nuggets and chips and tempura fisg and chips. We also have high chairs and colouring pencils to keep kids amused. Many thanks Pins on Lurline
