Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visiting Cowra on a road trip enjoying what the district has to offer. We enjoyed our breakfast scrambled eggs with mushrooms on the side, a generous serving maybe a tad expensive but food very good, prompt friendly service, you always pay for quality. Certainly recommend for travelers, locals probably already know how good the quality is.

We ate breakfast twice at this cafe. Table and cashier service was excellent. The ladies are friendly and engaged.
Coffee is first class...and the meals large and very tasty.
Only downside was the service from the kitchen was VERY slow when we visited (Saturday morning) Seemed there was only one chef preparing food...so it was one at. time. We waited 1 hour for our meal. The waitress was exceedingly apologetic.
Location is very close to he Main Street and from what we heard its the best cafe in town.

I had the chicken caesar wrap and the tastes were so beautifully balanced I can not remember when I have enjoyed food so much. The staff were very attentive and oh so willing to please in their service. They seem to go to a lot of trouble to have the very best coffee and chai available to serve to their customers.

We often travel through Cowra and decided to call in to the Breakout Brasserie on Saturday 27 February 2021. We ordered at 9:56am. The coffees came within about ten minutes, but at 10:30am, we had to enquire where our breakfast was. It finally arrived 40 minutes after our order was placed. We were horrified to see their charges for "sides". A side of bacon is $7.50 (one piece) and a side of tomato is $5.00 (see photographed docket). You would not be expected to pay that in the middle of Sydney. What a rip off. We ordered two toasts and were charged extra for turkish and extra for gluten free. Normally we would only be charged extra for gluten free as we accept it is more expensive. When the food finally arrived it was quite nice, but the whole experience left a very bad taste and we will not return.

We went looking for a cafe for breakfast in Cowra and we discovered Breakout Brasserie. Order at the counter and then find a table inside/outside.
The coffee was great (almost local - Bills Beans, Orange) and the granola and fruit was very tasty and a good sized serve.
The staff are very friendly and the service was quick.
They also sell some interesting local products so a good find.

We ordered two milkshakes and two bacon and egg rolls takeaway on a Tuesday morning. There was 4 customers in the place. Our food took 40 minutes. I asked at 30 minutes if our food order had been lost or what was going on, the young male in the kitchen stuck his head out the window and said “you’re not the only person ordering breakfast today”.
Disgusting customer service. Average food. Ridiculous wait. Will not be back.

While on a cycling trip around Cowra I had cause to visit Breakout on several occasions, mostly for coffee but also once for breakfast. Coffee was from an Orange Roaster and was fairly strong but enjoyable. Breakfasts were prepared quickly and delicious. Of a morning you need to get there with time to spare as they have lots of regulars.

My mother and I visited Breakout Brasserie for brunch date. On arrival, this popular spot, was very busy (majority of people awaiting takeaway coffee due to limited seating with covid restrictions), however, I had luckily booked a table in advance. I opted for the ‘Breakout Nutty Granola’ which was utterly delicious. I also got my caffeine fix via a soy milk flat white, which hit the spot. From all reports, my mother enjoyed her brunch choice too.
The staff, particularly Sue and Jess, made our dining experience very pleasant and went out of their way to ensure we were content.

A Class Act in Cowra, Friends who lived in Cowra recommended we visit Breakout Brassiere Cafe in Cowra and we are happy we did. Their attention to Covid protocols was just the beginning of providing us a confidence in the proprietors. The menu covered all tastes and the quality of the breakfast dishes we chose along with excellent barrister coffees made this a great start to the area. We have no reservations in recommending this establishment as a Class Act in Cowra.

Stopping in for lunch I had the sweet potato fritters which were heavy and a bit stodgy. The poached egg was a squash ball. The accompanying salad was ok, esp asparagus, but a mess of flavours with the sauce, whatever it was. I like a hot coffee but these were too hot and therefore less flavoured. We ordered at 1210pm before they got busy so really no excuses there. A nice spot and friendly staff.

It's the second time we have been to the Brasserie on our way through Cowra, and we stopped specifically so we could have something to eat there just before 12, rather than continue on and eat later. I had the most amazing corn and haloumi fritters with salmon and poached egg, plus the most amazing herbs and salad. It really was a taste sensation, and I will definitely be back. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou

I was recommended this cafe from a local.
I turned up early, one morning, for brekkie. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and a large mug of cappuccino.
The cap came first and was amazing. So much so that I told the staff I couldn’t remember the time I had a better coffee (which was true). The Eggs Benedict arrived shortly after and complimented the coffee by being absolutely delicious.
The staff were your typical country folk- with a warm and friendly greeting. Just the ticket to get you started in the morning.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place.

We usually trek to Young for somewhere to eat but decided this week to book a table and stay in Cowra.
We arrived on time and the cafe was full both inside and out. Upon advising we had booked an inside table we found although it had our name on it, it had been given to someone else. Instead of making them move we had to sit outside in the cold.
Whilst ordering an inside table became free so we moved inside.
Our food took a while but it was so busy we didn’t mind.
Our food was very nice, although hubby wanted to change something on his and was told he couldn’t.
His pot of tea was nice and strong but my coffee either had syrup in it or was made on skim as it was too sweet.
We understand it was very busy but we’re a little disappointed from the get go.

Cowra Breakout Brasserie is a great place for a coffee and some food. Their coffee is consistently delicious and the food great.
I highly recommend it for its food, service, coffee and beautiful setting. With its outdoor eating area under a canopy of grapevines, it really is a unique find in Cowra and well worth a stop if you're passing through.

A very popular place on Saturday morning. Get there early if you want a table especially during COVID. Great breakfast which kept us going all day & the coffee was great too. It was a shame it was closed on Sunday as we were happy to go back & try something else on the yummy looking menu.
