Waited over 20mins for take away. Which was simply fish cocktails, chips and corn.. when I asked how much longer I was told by young backpacker guy to chill out.. won’t go back and if you want to wait long for food I wouldn’t recommend...More

Visited with my kids as were craving fish&chips and decided to try it. They have a beautiful display full of fishy temptations, although we just had a very boring and classic fish and chips. 1 fish fillet and a small bowl of chips, I think...More

We hiked from Bondi to Coogee on a nice winter day and stopped in for a late lunch. All the fresh options are in the case for you to drool over. They had marinated fish, veggies, and fresh caught fish options. We had a tough...More

Every time I'm in Coogee, I enjoy popping into 'A Fish Called Coogee' and ordering one of their delicious seafood meals. The owners always have a big selection of fish or seafood laid out, from oysters to garlic prawns, to Greek-style octopus, to Marinated Calamari...More

We had a great evening here recently with a nice bottle of white wine and fresh fish! The barramundi was particularly delectable. The service was very pleasant and personable as well. A perfect place to take our son!

Fish and seafood fresh and good value. Great "combo" options. However, the place is small and does not have many tables.

Great service, a wonderful selection of fresh and healthy options and it’s byo which is perfect. The only thing is it’s not the cheap dinner option you’d anticipate unless you choose the basic fish and chips. Definitely worth a go though!

Had dinner here after a nice afternoon swimming at Coogee. Informal and laid back dining. We ordered the traditional fish & chips. The fish was perfectly cooked - crispy and not at all greasy. Chips were great too. Would have been nice if they had...More

Very accessible by public transport, Coogee is the
smaller, friendlier, more intimate version of Bondi
Beach. Coogee is the only beach in the Eastern suburbs
that does not have big waves, making it an excellent
family beach. The Coogee Bay Hotel, located right
across the beach, has one of the biggest beer gardens
in Australia and plenty of entertainment every night
of the week. Be on the lookout for celebrity
