Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went there with friends for a Seniors Lunch. The staff were quite exceptional in their friendliness and professionalism. Not being Polish , I cannot attest to its authenticity but I liked the food. Was there many years ago and loved the tripe soup. The new...venue is fantastic and well designed. Highly recommendedMore

Attended first reveal for donors and life members, as well as an event to run through Club systems. It’s looking great. Less of the old ethnic chic and more Modern European- same club prices. The team behind the scenes is great, with Steve the Chef...and his team of souls- and pastry-chefs offering up a range of modern and traditional fare. Can’t wait for the new pierogi fillings!!More

I was part of a large group and everyone said their meals were excellent. Everything was delicious, the volunteers (not staff as they don't get paid) were very friendly and helpful, and overall it was a great experience. My pork knuckle was so huge I...had to take half of it home for lunch the next day. I tried 2 different Polish lagers and they were both great. Someone on my table had the Polish grass vodka and said it was pretty good too. It's a shame this venue is about to close for 18 months & be demolished on the site where it's apparently stood for 50 years, only to be replaced with apartments. Volunteers mentioned the restaurant would be moving to Ashfield bowling club temporarily, would be such a shame to lose all that history without another location, although a new restaurant will be opened on the site, but 18 months is a long time. It closes on 28 March, get in quick, it will definitely be worth it.More

Friendly staff but inefficient. Nice local place to eat authentic Polish food and dance, if you aren't fussy. It's what you want to make of it. Go for the food. Don't expect 4 star service. It;'s just a little local club.

Have been to the Polish Club a few times in the past but not for a year or two so decided to go back and try out Stlolat, the restaurant. Without naming other polish restaurants in Glebe and Bankstown, the pork knuckle was by far...the best. Seriously, tender with great crackling. The rest of the food was somewhat similar to other places. As the restaurant is on club premises you can sit in the bar and try a few polish beers before going to your table. If you want drinks at dinner you need to order them at the bar. Overall, enjoyed the food. The service and decor was also inviting and friendlyMore

This establishment in Ashfield is a great little local club with off street parking, a nice cosy restaurant, an auditorium and a small gambling machines area.

Hadn't dined in the club for some time and was quite impressed with the overall menu and the food that was served. Some really hearty traditional Polish meals were on the menu. It's great to be eating the way one is accustomed to at home....What pity that the outside of the Polish Club is rather drab and not particularly inviting for those coming for the first time. Despite this I will definitely be eating there again. Great friendly staff.More

Being on holiday in Sydney and being of Polish extraction, I decided to visit the restaurant in the Polish Club in Ashfield. I ordered favourite dishes (golabki) and friends ordered the potato pancakes and salmon and the beef goulash. All three dishes were beautifully presented...and tasted fabulous. Good selection of Polish beers and vodkas and you can also get Aussie beer too. Great taste experience. I will come back for pierogi (dumplings) next time.More
