Lovely location for family breakfast. We have been several morning’s with visitors coming to share the Airlie experience. With a mix of ages, we all found a favorite on the menu. Meals were generous, children loved the yummy pancakes and kids milkshakes were a huge hit with even grownups ordering perfect size treat. At this time bookings can prevent a wait to be seated. The staff are lovely and I was amazed how they are handling the restrictions with seating. Love the feeling and food.

I had breakfast here on two occasions during my stay in Airlie. I had planned to try somewhere else on my second morning, but after the place I had chosen was closed, and the second place I chose had woeful service and was out of menu items 15 minutes after opening, I decided to head back to the Teeehouse for a second time because I knew I would get warm and friendly service and a genuinely fresh and delicious meal.
I have to give a compliment to the corn fritters (which I think may have had some zucchini in them as well), an amazing dish, everything worked so well, and it was so problem at all for the chef to sub out the poach eggs for scrambled, which is much appreciated.
And a lovely location overlooking the lagoon, great for early risers to sip a coffee and people watch.
I will definitely be back next time I am in Airlie.

Perfect spot for a work lunch. Food came out quickly, we had the fish and chips, the green bowl, the cheeseburger and the and the salt pepper squid. Quality was above average and cost about in line with Airlie beach. Great service and beautiful view of the water.

I don’t recommend coming here unless you’ve got 2 hours to waste. Came for brunch with family. We waited an hour and a half for our food, most of which was cold when brought out to us. We were starving by the time food arrived and although the food looked appetising the hour long wait for cold food made it anything but enjoyable. Save yourself the trouble not worth the time or the price tag.

An absolute joke of a place and staff! The wait period was over an hr; and seeing that it takes eggs toast and bacon an hr to make; none of it was even worth the wait.
Waiters need to be trained and the Manager in charge needs a personality! This business needs to know that nothing is for free obviously and people are paying good money for something they only wish to have; but are clearly not getting!
With the way the world is; and knowing that it only takes one covid case to shut down any business; you would think that this cafe/restaurant; would do all it can do for its customers to stay opened. At the end of the day its the public support that help keep businesses running and staff with jobs!
Do yourself a favour and go straight to "The Deck"! This is a cafe/restaurant that is worth visiting more than once! And puts "the treehouse" to shame!

Wow great read! I Have to be honest, I was looking forward to this one.
Thank you for taking the time out of your very fast paced day that you must of had planned to write this very well written review for us. Of course, I am only assuming as on this particular day you could not wait for your breakfast to arrive without loosing your temper...
Firstly thank you for passing on your knowledge of when our Treehouse is at full capacity, I was unaware of how well you know the venue.
Just so we can be clear, when you walked in with your table of 10 (without a booking, I might add) we were at capacity (abiding to COVID restrictions obviously.. you know how the world is right now), unfortunately you slipped through the cracks and were not told that because we are quite full and busy there will be up to an hour wait on food, I am sorry for this.
I want to be clear, we are not ashamed of this. At the Treehouse we make everything fresh to order and at times our kitchen is under pressure and it takes time to produce fresh food. As you seem not to of commented on the food you in-fact ordered I’m sure you would agree the food is fresh? I noticed the bacon and eggs ordered for your kiddies was all eaten up when I cleared your plates yum yum
After offering my apologies to you over and over again whilst you yelled in my face about how hungry you are and how we aren’t even ‘at full capacity’, I offered you free drinks which you refused, I gave you a 15% discount and then I proceeded to ask what else I could do, to help you feel better about the situation... you said there was nothing. I really feel like I tried to do everything I could with all the personality I had to help you get what you paid good money for.
Dare I say, I feel maybe you were hangry and a little ‘hungover’ from your evening before celebrations... rude of me to assume I know but since you have no issues with making assumptions, I thought I could be cheeky and get away with it.
I am sorry for my brashness in our last conversation on this lovely busy day.. I agree I absolutely lost my personality when was being yelled at by a fully grown man because I haven’t buttered his toast. True story!
I hope that you are pleased with your first day of 2021.. abusing staff that have been working their butts of to provide a service for you. You are a big man .........
Please go to the deck and say hi to Jane for me, she will be very pleased to have customers like yourself. I have also noticed that you haven’t bothered to review ‘the deck’ for their amazing restaurant, fast and friendly service . May I suggest you do so to help them keep them open as I see you are completely aware of how the world is right now.

My husband and I have worked in hospitality for many years ourselves and know how important good service is to a successful business. Unfortunately our lunch visit the other day (26/10/2020) was spoilt by the service we were given by the two waitresses working. Good old fashioned service with eye contact, a smile and manners was not to be. They both need tips on communication skills such as how to speak to customers, making eye contact and using your please and thankyous.
We had come to your Cafe as we had been there years ago and had fond memories of it. This time we were on our honeymoon. When we visit Airlie Beach again, unfortunately we will be hesitant to revisit your Cafe unless you have more impressive service.

Took the better half for breakfast today (big breakfast and eggs Benedict and left thinking that’s an hour and a half of my life I can’t get back, and $57. Not that crowded but took half an hour to get our order (be there in a sec was told 3 times from the 15 minute mark when I went up to the counter to prompt the staff), and 40 minutes to cook and serve it. I added serve as it was probably cooked in 25 minutes then left to cool for 15 before bringing it out. Eggs were over cooked severely and everything other than the sausages were cold.
Wouldn’t recommend it and won’t be going back, there’s plenty other great restaurants in Airlie that will get my hard earned dollars from now on

NOT THE SAME PLACE WE USE TO LOVE.
We live in Airlie Beach for 3 years and Tree House has always been our go to. We haven't been in this place for 9months since we been stuck in WA for work cause of Covid.
Friday morning, we sat down for atleast 15mins before someone have asked for our order, coffee came 45mins later,cold. We been ready to order our breakfast but no one has come to our table to take our order, then we had to go to the pay station to let them know that we are ready to order,
The lady who took our order is in a so much rush and rude, she didn't even repeat our order, 1.5hours later she came and placed our food in our table and straight up turned her back and walked off without even asking if our order is correct,. Very disappointed...

Firstly I am so sorry to hear you were stuck in WA but I tend to think lucky you as its my home town and it is such a beautiful place! Welcome back to the warm side anyhow!
Friday morning was a quiet morning for us so I do find it a little strange that you feel you waited an hour and a half for your food...?
At times when we are at our busiest wait time can unfortunately be 45mins to 1 hour max which we are working hard on getting them down.
Unfortunately when all our lovely guests turn up for breakfast at the same time our little kitchen does get pushed to its limits at times.
As for our rude staff... I am so sorry that you felt this way.
Rest assured I will have a little chat to our staff and ensure they slow down a little and make sure everyone customer has their full attention when having their order taken. Although I assume your order was correct as you didn't mention any errors?
I am however sorry that you were disappointed with your experience. I hope you do return and give us another go.

The setting and atmosphere is enjoyable and the food is very tasty. It started off horribly as we waited a good 45 min to get a piece of toast with smashed avocado… as we ate our meals, we saved some place for the appetizing homemade banana bread. We’ll guess what ? You guessed it, horrendous wait as well. I came here expecting greatness, and I was served with deception. We also asked for a table outside didn’t get it because they’re for “big groups”. Anyway, good food but come here if you want to waist your afternoon and money.

Me best mate Morty was hungover this morning. He’s not a big drinker you see and I told him ‘mate, don’t try keep up with me, you just go at your own pace.’ He didn’t listen.
So I was like ‘listen, let’s go get some breaky and see how you feel then.’
Someone suggested to try the treehouse.
We got served by a this tall guy with long hair and a big smile. Built just like a rugby player. If he doesn’t play rugby, he probably should. Trust me, you’ll know him when you see him.
I asked him how big the big breakfast was. He said large. Which means the same thing as big but I got what he meant. So I ordered 2 big breakys. One for me and one for Morty.
When they came out they were large big breakfastses. Eggs, bacon, snags, hash browns. All really good. The star of the show was the home made bake beans.
I asked Morty what he thought of the breakfast, he said aggressively ‘it was great, there you go’ I asked him if I could quote him, he said ‘don’t quote me, you can say that I was there, that’s it!’
Morty doesn’t tell me what to do.
I thought it was great as well.
Morty’s still hungover though.

Finally decided to try the Treehouse for breaky
Booking was so easy and I managed to get a table an hour before we wanted to eat which was great.
Seated straightaway lovely waitress got our drinks came back 3mins later took our order but then that’s when it went downhill, waited almost an hour (40mins she told me, which is almost an hour) for our meal.
When it was arrived I thought they gave me bacon not ham but turns out they cook the ham (what a let down, it tasted like bacon, so salty) 2 pieces of rye that were smaller then a slice of toast (length was fine) bunch of spinach on the plate, so not lightly sautéed unfortunately and then the eggs were hard boiled instead of runny like they should be.
Other pancakes came out with what looked like a kombucha mother sitting into of it not a cinnamon butter piece and they were hard not light and fluffy like they should be.
She offered i discount and I said no thank you don’t worry about it, I just wanted to pay and get out of there.
I don’t know if we got a discount or not even though I said no, but we definitely won’t be back.
Drinks were really nice and the service from Ella was top notch

Had the most amazing breakfast here this morning. My husband had the pancakes with mixed berries and I had the eggs Benedict. Both meals were 10/10 and enjoyed in the most beautiful setting looking at the huge trees by the lagoon. Will definitely return

Wonderful lagoon side location, wooden aesthetic and an open aired breeze; this is the place to be for brunch in Airlie.
I had sweet corn fritters which were really very delicious and my husband rated his Turkish eggs. Would recommend for sure! A great hang out.

Food was very average. We had a range of dishes from pizza to the specials and it was all okay. The arancini and the duck breast were both over cooked and dry. The wait staff were nice though, so was the view. The coffee was good. Unfortunately I would not visit again to eat, maybe just for coffee.

I do wish when I spoke to you all after your meals you wished to elaborate further to avoid you feeling the need to give us a two spot review. Don’t come here. Waited over half an hour for a coffee and over an hour for food. When food originally came messed up one the orders, didn’t even bother sending it back because waited so long for it to come!
