We are known as Karratha's best café and we are multi award winning. Opened in December 2014, our everchanging menu features options that are mostly organic and yet always tasty. Sample our range of cold pressed juices and artisan coffee by WA local, Micrology Small Batch Coffee roasters. If your visiting Karratha, you must stop into empire6714! Since moving to Karratha, empire has quickly became my favourite cafe to have coffee and breakfast with my hubby. Love the fresh, quality of food which changes seasonally and the presentation is Instagram worthy - see smashed avo. I love that they stock local gifts and sustainable products as well. Plus if your looking for a unique cake to celebrate a birthday, their signature brownie cake is incredible and is a must try!!!

A great menu with fresh and healthy choices and quality ingredients. I’ve eaten here several times for breakfast and can highly recommend the Portobello Pumpkin or Crumpet & Crab. Delicious food and it looks great on the plate. The create your own option is also good so you can pick what you want and make your own dish (definitely add hollandaise). I’d never tried coconut & almond milk, but decided to have in my flat white and it was great - good coffee too! The staff and super friendly and service is quick. There’s also colouring pencils and sheets to keep the kids entertained whilst you’re there. I’ll definitely be back!

Amazing Brunch

We loved the atmosphere here. So nice and refreshing to have a space that does not sound like a food court. I had the Smashed Avocado. It was a delightful food adventure on a plate. Everything is paired to compliment. Hubby was excited to see the menu also offered that you could create your own as he is a big eater, however he chose the Empire Breakky. Soul satisfying as he put it and very filling. Loved it (And put him in a great mood for the rest of the day). Let's not forget the coffee. Fantastic. Best coffee we have had in a very long time. If you don't have time to stop and enjoy, grab a takeaway, you will not be disappointed. Compliments to the owner and happy, helpful staff. We will be back.

Definitely not worth the high cost

We ordered two breakfast meals. Service was great food was pricey but I assumed with the price the food would be artisan and plentiful. The food arrives it’s tiny portions and to honest nothing special. I’m happy to pay $28 for an amazing breaky but we didn’t get that ! I would suggest the business check out Instagram pages of breakfast restaurants around WA that are too charging an arm and a leg.

Massive disappointment

So empire has never tickled my fancy with the high prices, limited seating options and small portions. Today we decided to give it ago once more. $65 for breakfast- two meals and two cups of coffee. RIDICULOUS The no table number situation means waitresses are walking around asking people what they ordered. Our drinks were given to the people next to us and then when looking down they recognised that the drink didn’t link to what was infront of her- but they were ours ! Never fear..... Our coffees were cold- not even warm. No apology but a remake when I followed it up. The lattes then came out in the correct glassware! Not once was there a “I’m sorry guys “. The meals are over priced, yes they are presented beautifully but sorry not worth it. No spoon was provided for the granola and when I ask I was presented with a tea spoon. If I’m paying a whopping $65 bucks I expect ( and I think anyone one would) decent service. Would I go back ? Nup

Very slow at essential pre work coffee times

Disappointing given you pay $20 for a bagel. Every part of the service should be smooth for that. Opens at 0530 and at 0650 breakfast could not be offered until 0730. Workers start early in this town. Cappuccino with no froth.

Once again we found the staff difficult! We wanted to sit inside, there was possibly 5/7 people currently seated. We noticed high stools available and attempted to sit at the high tables facing the glass. We were told our only option was to sit outside in the 40 degrees heat! We left and went to Lo’s, we noticed the two groups behind us did the same and also dined at Lo’s for breakfast . I think if we were spoken to politely we might have waited for someone to leave but the manners of the staff meant we just walked to another business.

Really good breakfast, always amazed by taste and beautiful plating. Regardless, need to improve for coffees... I could feel the powder in my chai latte and my partner asked twice (two different days) for a macchiato and got a latte twice... but the food is amazing 😻

Good coffee in Karratha

Good healthy, breakfast with good coffee to start our road trip. I had avo on sourdough toast; the rest of the fam had scrambled eggs on toast. For the $ I expected a huge plate but there was actually plenty & we will go back. Quite a long wait so perhaps order ahead if you are in a rush but we sat outside & felt happy & covid safe.

Awesome service and food

Went for breakfast this morning with a friend and had a lovely morning. The service from the staff out the front was very friendly. The food and drinks were delicious and not a long wait for how many customers they had at the time. I had the Duck Hash and a Juice and enjoyed it so much that I’m looking forward to getting back to try something else on the menu. If your after a lighter and healthier style of food definitely try out Empire 6714

Outstanding! Service, food..

Outstanding! Service, food.. you name it. I can’t recommend this place more. It’s always my ‘go to’ whenever in town. The banana waffles and chicken bao buns are delicious ... even the cakes are outstanding. Such a treat to eat dessert and it’s so tasty - without lots of sugar. I wish this place had its own cookery book. The only other place I’ve found as remotely as good is the ‘Good Life Eatery’ in London. Empire6714 is superb.

Eight of us came to order food and expected a long wait but the food came out so quickly. It was delicious with amazing presentation. The flavours were intricately mixed with just the right amount of chilli. The service was outstanding, as well.

This is now a Thai place, not the lovely Cafe it used to be.

Shocking. Used to love this Cafe when visiting the pilberra, it's under new management now, Thai food apparently. Ordered a salad, since vegetarian, for take away. Got home and discarded most of it, remade my own thanks. I don't think a pile of spinach leaves a tomatoe just sliced up any old way, a few sprouts & a bit of radish is a salad. Partner had lasagne & salad. Again a few pieces of tomato and lots of spinach leaves. Lasagne was tasteless.. for 32 dollars a total waste of money. The Cafe interior itself has gone down hill to, poor service, not warm and friendly as it used to be.

Service slow. Coffees cold, bitter. Expensive! Seems to be huge turn over of staff. Weird menu items. Thought we would try it as we always go to local cafes but this isn't one we'd come back to. Was very dissatisfied & so were other patrons waiting on coffee orders.
