Visited with work colleagues on a Tuesday evening and the place was pretty much empty. It was half price tapas night ($7). I ordered the scallops and the boys ordered the Tsunami parmy and the brisket. You have to order at the bar and receive...a buzzer to collect your meal when it is ready. We sat outside in the lovely breeze and thoroughly enjoyed every part of our meals. The scallops were perfectly cooked, the brisket was melt in your mouth and the parmy was very well presented. The meals were extremely large so bring your appetite. Slightly expensive but that's what you expect up here. Would definitely come here again.More
First time visiting Karratha, thought we would book a table in advance for a much anticipated seafood platter. The place was very overcrowded, had to wait 10mins to be seated at our reserved table. Told seafood platter is not available on a Monday. Ok, we...thought - let’s try something else on the menu as we were feeling lucky that we had booked a table in advance. Website says “family friendly”… no children’s menu though… we sat debating if we purchase a $40 fish and chips for our 10 year old. As we were deciding what to order we were then told that the table we were on was reserved for someone else. Why have online booking when we don’t even get a table!?? We finished our drinks and left to find somewhere else. Incredibly disappointing. Just a thought - Perhaps table service would be best at this place to stop so many people walking in and out collecting their meals. ? Also more staff needed taking meals as they seemed run off their feet.More
being invited to a party though not very hungry I chose from the tapas menu. I quickly noticed sardines on offer so chose them amongst others. As someone who has been visiting Spain since the early 70's where tapas were free with a beer (something...you learn fast as a broke 17 yr old) I developed a taste for these delicious treats and sardines became a favourite. As the place was busy and three or four others from our party of twelve had also ordered from the tapas menu there was some confusion when the orders arrived in no particular order. As the atmosphere was great and the company good we weren't bothered. When my sardines arrived I was disappointed to see an opened tin, the generic sardine tin found in any supermarket. I am not averse to these as I frequently buy canned sardines. My preference is for "Ortiz" a Spanish canned variety. There a few Sicilian brands that I like too and they all tend to be four or five times as expensive as the generic supermarket brands. The difference to anybody who has tried both is obvious. Sadly the kitchen staff here were not of that ilk.More
Modern "MKR" style menu, friendly, but forgetful staff (the person serving us said he would return with a dessert menu but left the building!). They have a good wine list, starting from AU$40 a bottle. Full table service and contactless payment, with American Express cards...being accepted.More
Enjoyed the cocktail, Bitter Kiss Tapas were half price...that was a bonus King prawns were over cooked Pork was dry and stringy Fish in the tacos...batter was over cooked, yes...it's possible Although the young man as host was very polite and very respectful He was...let down by his team in the kitchenMore
Something was wrong on the night we visited if compared to the other reviews. I felt sorry for the manager (he was good) who had to deal with the constant stuff ups from the kitchen. We waited for 90+ miunutes for a shared plate and...other food. We informd the manager we were leaving (after being informed twice by wait staff that it was coming) and then the food arrived. IKEA meatballs, frozen prawn twists, packet spring rolls, no salt and pepper squid (waiter couldn't tell us what was its replacement). Better quality from a servo. It was deplorable and in such contrast to what others have to say.More
Attended half price night Monday 4/7/2021. Staff very attentive food excellent and when a small issue was raised with manager the response was fantastic. Food may be a little pricey at full price however it was very large serves and tasty.
Great size meals that we had no hope in finishing. Pasta was hot and fresh, parma generous, other meals great
Busy Sunday night but great atmosphere and an amazing lady doing the job of many. Felt understaffed and about a 45min wait for mains however we would do it again. Food was great and Lava cake was the best finish!!
