After a day of exhausting travelling we checked in to Kununurra Country Club and went to dinner which was booked well in advance. Staff were numerous and very attentive and the menu selections were interesting. Unusual flavour combinations on reading - baked chicken breast stuffed with Red Leicester cheese ??? Barramundi with pineapple and minted yoghurt ??? On reading we thought we would play it safe but still got a hash of flavour combinations. We decided to order the green salad with grilled Kiev cut chicken breast. This had dates, radish, beetroot, avocado, carrots, chickpeas, pepitas, chia and lettuce leaves with a tasteless carrot dressing. Chicken was dry and overcooked. Just a hotch potch of flavours that really didn’t work. We also thought it safe to share a chicken pizza but for $22.00 it was comparable to a Domino’s large $15.00 special unfortunately.
A disappointing food experience but the restaurant, ease of location and the staff and service were great.

We made a booking for 630pm as required. We arrived and were shown promptly to our table. Drinks order were taken promptly and food order was taken shortly after that. We noticed a large table behind me had arrived and another large table on my left arrived after us. The large table on the left had their meals come out shortly before us but we didnt think too much about it. It was about an hour and 10 minutes before our food came after we enquired about it. The wait staff were apologetic as they mentioned that thr 2 big tables food were prepared and serveed before us and hence the kitchen was back logged. The wait staff sent us a round of drinks on the house as a thank you for our patience which we appreciated. At the end of the day, i understand there is staff shortage but i did call to book for 630pm which the staff would had known about those big tables and other bookings prior, they could had said to come 7pm or 715pm to give them a bit of breather space and we would had waited lesser for our meals and would had been fine. Food is pricier compared to the others we've dined in Kununurra. Food for the rest of the table was good. I had the chilli lime salad with chicken(extra), chicken was superd but my salad was rather average - one chilli, 10 big leaves, missing coriander and the charred corn was half a spoonful, a piece of lime. If without the chicken, the salad wouldbe a bad value for 24 bucks. I feel they need to space out the bookings a bit more to help the staff cope.

We had such a beautiful meal last night at Kelly's Bar and Grill. My friend and I had the Barramundi and in was perfectly could with yummy side flavours. I think anyone could find something they like an the menu. I wasn't as keen on the pear dish I had as it was a cold crumble, but that's OK. The kids menu was really reasonably priced including drink and dessert and the nuggets were real chicken it seemed! Our waitress Hellen was delightful and we didn't have to wait long for our lovely meal. Nice surroundings too!

Unfortunately the food was nice but very expensive compared to the meals at the Kunnanura Hotel
$52.00 for a spaghetti with seafood? Wine $59.00 for a Riesling?
The pub $32.00 for a hot rock steak and wine was $38.00
Service at Kelly’s was ordinary to say the least but the pub was excellent. I know staff issues are a problem but train them out of hours not so much whilst you charge a fortune and you have to watch the train wreck
I won’t be back

Came at the Kelly’s and bar for a special occasion. We used to come often. We were so disappointed on our last diner. Our welcome was rude. Told us to place any orders at the counter as a PUB not anymore order at the table. No one told us the table number. No sign on the table. I have done twice the order line. Because I didn’t have the table number the lady behind the counter asked me to do the line again and wait my turn ! Rude !
Slow service at the bar. Have to collect drinks at the bar. Calling you by your drinks order ! Lmao unprofessional. Ouf they are serving plates on the table.
To avoid queue you must order drinks, plates and desserts at the same time. If not you will do 3 or 4 time the line ! As we did !
Slow service, rude staff, food okay.
Will be our last time at this place ! Better service at the pub !

A nice outdoor eating area, nestled amongst lovely greenery. Welcoming and friendly staff. Unfortunately on the night we dined it took just under an hour and a half to receive our food, which took the shine off what was essentially really nice meals. A free round of drinks was brought to the table as an apology, which was appreciated.
Although we had a booking, it appears that two large tables overpowered the kitchen prior to our order. I would have preferred to have been told to come at a later time to avoid delays....in which case my review would have been very different.

We visited for lunch. They had a modest, but satisfactory menu and meals were served from11:30 to 14:00 daily.
Julie, the lady taking orders and serving mesls was fabulous.
Meals and drinks are ordered and paid for st the bar. American Express cards are accepted, but you can't run a tab at lunch time

We recently had dinner at Kelly’s. Whilst the restaurant seemed to be very busy, I’m not quite sure why. The food took ages to arrive, even though they weren’t that busy. The price was on the high side and we didn’t get value for money.
The curry was fairly tasty, but only a minimal amount of rice accompanied the dish. The chicken salad was not well presented and was on the bone, which is unusual.
Service was reasonable but we had to queue up at the bar to order drinks and the queue took ages.
All in all, not the best, but satisfactory

We had 2 really good dinners here. The grilled barra is the best we have ever eaten. Thought has clearly been put into the menu to source local, high quality produce. There is no doubt that the pandemic has put many hospitality venues in the NW of WA under stress both through increased demand & workforce supply constraints. The Kununurra country club seems to have managed this issue well with the recruitment of hospitality staff from as far a field as Vanuatu. I would highly recommend this restaurant for dinner in Kununurra.

Friendly & attentive service.
Food overall was well below average.
For entree we had lamb cutlets which were tasty and the highlight the meal.
The chicken wings wrapped in bacon had no flavour, and there was only half a wing.
For main we both had Barramundi with potato & pea salad. The salad was ‘spot’ the potato, and unrecognisable mish mash of ingredients.
The fish was so extremely disappointing and not anywhere near worth the $38. It was also a very small piece.
Overall, we wouldn’t eat there again.

So dissapointed. The venue was soulless with zero atmosphere. Staff pleasant but thefood. OMG! The steak served with paprika and thyme sauce was like eating a marinade. Not good. Barramundi cooked well but the strangest combo of flavours and textures. Overall not a good experience. Sorry guys.. 😖

We were looking forward to dining at Kelly’s Bar and Grill in Kununurra. What a huge disappointment. I ordered the beef cheeks. The food was tasteless and for the first time ever I had to use a knife to cut through beef cheeks. I paid $34 for slops. Tough beef and watery rice. 😡

The food was lovely, well cooked & tasty, beautifully presented. However, the service was poor, no offer of further drinks, no offer of any dessert or other food. Upon finally deciding to leave the Manager (Naveen ?) was given feedback regarding this, he was dismissive and didn't care that we would have liked dessert and perhaps another drink or two. Disappointed.

We have eaten at Kellys when staying at Kununurra Country Club twice before (2014 and 2017) but were a little disappointed this time. The atmosphere is wonderful and the service first class but we found the crisp prawns entree a little uncrisp and found the steaks (which were cooked exactly to order) rather grisly and smothered in an unnecessary sauce. Maybe we made the wrong choices but we enjoyed the dining experience, particularly the chat with 2 locals at an adjoining table.
