Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Relaxed lunch by the river. Terrific food and really quick service even when busy. Food is hot and fresh and the drinks are cold. Steal sandwich was perfectly cooked and tender

Publican that served me was a top bloke. The feed here is very much traditional pub feed. I had the tasty Coopy Burger and the wife had a decent Schnitty. Beer was icy cold which was what the doctor ordered after a long drive. I...believe they offer free caravan parking around the side, as long as you spend some $$ at the bar or bistro. Only thing I’d tweak is the kids meal as they were a bit pricy for what they were. We will be back here one day as it’s easily better than stopping at Macca’s on a road trip….More

The hotel is nice but not remarkable. However, it offers grey normads a park free. Many consequently go to the pub and dinner etc. Restaurant is fine and serve robust traditional food. My roast pork could have been from the 1960s.

One of those little places left behind when they built a new highway, the Coopernook is like a forgotten treasure. It is popular as on a sunny day the blace is buzzing. It is a classic structure and worth the visit for this alone. Don't...look from the road but go straight down to the riverfront where the bridge one crossed the river and look back to the view that travellers would have had approaching on the dusty trip north. A classic country pub. Visiting in Covid times all protocols were followed. There are a number of seating options. None are "flash" but try the inside dinibg room or the verandah facing the river. It was so busy that we went to the back beer garden and whilst it lacked the view it was fine. Why so busy when there is no passing traffic? It is known for good and reasonably priced food. Not out of this world good but good honest country pub grub! Service is fine and drinks reasonable. Don't fly alond the highway but turn off and give it a tryMore

Lunch stop on the way north, great old fashioned delicious home cooked food. Roast pork with all the trimmings and homemade rissoles. Nice friendly atmosphere and a great spot right by the river.

After another long day on the road we camped out the back of the hotel and decided to eat dinner inside. We ordered the roast pork special and a yummy white chocolate, blueberry bread n butter pudding. Fast friendly service, great food and good jokes!...I had such a great time I left my hand bag under the table and got it back the next morning all intact, so honest to boot too! Highly recommend this pub both to camp and eat. It’s off the main road so quiet and cheap fuel up the road too.More

Visited Coopernook Hotel while on a family trip as my grand parents owned this pub when they were quite young. Experience was just disappointing. The stuff we’re nothing but rude, arrogant and wanted nothing to do with us. We were planning on having lunch and...a drink but they didn’t want us there. Didn’t even want to talk to us. Don’t expect somewhat good service unless you’re a local.More

Just called in for a quick small picky lunch to fill the gap in the Belly...Fabulous customer service from all the staff especially the girls behind the bar. Licensee was even walking around working hard and asked how our meals were. Recommend the prawn cutlets,...there was a queue to order however Chef didn’t disappoint by delivering quick and fast.More

This is a great free stopover for R.V’s at the back of the pub just off the highway. Lovely food with a very quaint dining room. There are also rooms available to stay in as well. Would highly recommend.

We stayed last week. $60 for a room with shared toilet and bathroom and includes a continental breakfast. Room was clean but very basic. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.

Howdy ! Yep - they have as cheap as you want - ( small meals ) or as big as you can eat ! :o) Pretty good variety too ... Our Cruising Bike club drop in there a LOT on weekends and it's ALWAYS well patronised !
