Paco Mer retains the feel of the original Cafes on Las Terrenas beach. Excellent food literally right on the water. Palm trees shade you as you sip the local Heineken-like lager: Presidente. I enjoyed the avocat crabe--a crab salad in the middle of a large local avocado, with a nicely vinaigrette-dressed salad below. Very tasty lunch. The only negative was... More

We loved this restaurant. I think we ate here three times in total. Had nearly everything on the menu. The view, food and ambiance make for an awesome long lunch.

A little tricky if you don't speak French or Spanish, but manageable. We ate here a couple of times - fish or shrimp with different sauces, rice, fries, vegetables. Reasonable prices.

If you want to feel the Las Terrenas peace of 10 years ago go there. Simple good food in a environment away from burst and noise. Simply enjoy.

We walked by and just stopped in for a snack, with no pretense, paco asked what we would have, we asked him his favorite and he had the chef make the fish plate of his choice, outstanding! And ceviche con coco was perfect. Amazing meal

Paco Mer came very highly recommended, and largely, did not disappoint. Lovely variety of dishes, some very French. Not inexpensive, but I can see why people go here again and again. Unbelievable that they produce all this amazing food in the little blue shack on the beach. Friendly service.

The owner is one of the orignal frenchis that came and put Las Terrenas on the map 25 years ago. His name is PACO does not sound French but believe he is the real thing and MER is sea in french thus PACOMER. His fish shack is stuck between cemetary wall and the beach strategically right next to the fishermen's... More

We loved eating lunches in pacomer, conveniently located on the beach-stunning view, very relaxed, but the best was the food-everyday specials and really tasty regular dishes; at the same time, very reasonably priced! Wish we had more places like that around the world.
