Reviewed yesterday NEW

Took a party of nine on Easter Sunday to celebrate a wedding anniversay, and we were not disappointed. Helpful friendly staff, good menu choices ( especially for a pub!), and the food did justice to the recommendations we had had prior to booking. I would advise booking , especially at weekends, if you are a larger group or need to... More

Went for a few drinks here after good reviews from the locals and I wasn't disappointed we knew it was dog friendly but they were allowed in most of the pub and loved the beer garden stayed there that long we decided to have some food which was delicious and great portion size 😊 will be going back tonight 🍺🍕😁

Have not been before and came on the recommendation of locals who said this was very much on the up. We were not disappointed with nice food & generous portions at a reasonable price given the portion size. A few service niggles, mainly I suspect due to the popularity & I would very much suggest booking as the night we... More

A very enjoyable meal. Very fresh fish and vegetables and generous portions. The service was fast and friendly, and the food very good. We will definitely visit again.

Excellent food, service, ambience, quality & company. What more could you ask for? Hunters chicken was superb, beautifully presented and cooked. Would definitely recommend, you will not be disappointed. 5* all the way.

We were recommended this pub from our B&B in Axminster and dropped in on a Thursday evening. We were surprised to get the last table as everywhere was reserved. The food was excellent, huge portions and freshly cooked. Would definitely recommend this pub.

Saturday night and an excellent meal and service. We had pil pil - the best we've had including those in Spain! Calamari, again delicious although maybe a little skimpy on the portion size compared to the pil pil ;) For main course we both opted for the specials, I had brill with a creamy seafood sauce. It came with a... More
