Disappointed, I expected much more. Best of all, the arepas, I imagine that there are chefs from Colombia or Venezuela in the kitchen. The rest of the meal was nothing special, it lacked a lot of flavor, the cooking of beans without flavor, the scarce...portions.More

The most wonderful juicy steak truffle risotto. Super friendly service - no English menu but the staff were wonderful.

We came here for lunch towards the end of our holiday in Cantabria, we wish we had visited earlier in our trip because it was so good we would have loved to have come again! The hostess was incredibly friendly and accommodating of our two...young children and our vegetarian dietary requirements. The food was fresh, inventive and very tasty. There is an outdoor area where the kids could run around while we waited for each course to arrive. The waiter Edward spoke excellent English and was kind to our children, thank you Edward! This restaurant is a hidden gem and an essential visit for anybody wanting a slightly more upmarket meal in a relaxed setting. For UK visitors - the restaurant opens at noon but food cannot be ordered until 1:30pm.More

This was reccommended by our hotel nearby for a special dinner. The hostess has excellent english and described all the different types of dishes making us wish we were in the area for longer to sample all the different options. The food was excellent and...service friendly and warm. Would reccommend and hope to have the opportunity to visit again some day.More

The food was excellent, they cater for babies and the restaurant is very spacious. They use the local products and mix them in a really innovative way and very tasty, all that we ate was amazing. The employees and owner are super helpful polite and...they do truly care about the success of the restaurant, well done and we will be back.More

My husband and I brought our family here for our wedding celebration lunch. The adults did the tasting menu that included the award-winning foie gras lasagna (to die for). Actually we loved every dish! The kids had the more basic set menu and we were...surprised at the number of options as well as the generous portions. The staff are very attentive, wine menu is great, and the atmosphere is very laid back and relaxed (we didn't want anything fancy). If you're lucky enough to be in Cantabria I highly recommend La Yaya and hope to return next summer.More

We went there because several people had recommend it to one of my friends and we were hoping a wonderful food, and well, it was tasty and good, but not so surprising. the normal menu was 20 euro more or less. we had a risotto,...very tasty, lasagna, nothing surprising, and we tried kangaroo meat, something different, and one kind of big squid, wich i didnt like very much. the restaurant is modern and nice, and you can have something to drink in the terrace outdoors that is great.More

We have taken the family to this restaurant twice now and it has been fantastic on both occasions. The menu of the day is great value (three courses + wine). They also sorted my fussy kids out with some food they would eat no problem....If you are after a great meal, attentive staff and relaxed atmosphere then this is your restaurant. Recommend booking ahead.More

We went there to have a bite not full dinner. The 'rabas de abancando" are to die for. We also tried the cake platter which was better looking than taste. We had a pretty serious incident and the waiter and kitchen staff reacted just proffessionally...but in a way dissappointly considering what had happened.More
