Wow! What a once-in-a-lifetime experience the Tali Wiru dinner is. Even though it may seem a little pricey it is definitely worth it. The service and food is amazing. All staff were very friendly and nothing was a problem for them especially Tia (waitstaff) and...Michael (driver and star talk/local knowledge talk guide). Don't go to Uluru without attending this dinner. The sunset over Uluru and Kata Tjuta from a private dining area on a dune was the best experience ever.More

This is not your usual dinner. It's a very special experience under the stars. After being picked up you drive a bit of distance into the desert, away from the resort area with its noise and lights. After appetizers there is a truly fine dinner...followed by a lecture on the stars and then, at the gathering area, a discussion on aboriginal weapons. During the star discussion they shut off all the lights, which is amazing. Living in an urban area, as we do, we've never seen the Milky Way before due to light pollution. That's not a problem here.More

It took a little while deciding whether to spend this much money on one dinner but we were very glad we did. The whole evening felt very special with nothing left to chance. Our driver was friendly and knowledgeable, also doing our mid-dinner astronomy talk...and fireside weapons/tools chat. We enjoyed lovely canapes while meeting our chef who introduced us to some of the local ingredients he would be using. The food was delightful but as good as it was it's hard not feel that it played second fiddle to the location. Each course comes with it's own wine and if you are not a big drinker be cautious about finishing every glass. There's even Cognac by the fire on offer but the hot chocolate we chose was amazing. It's hard to pick a favourite from the menu but the theatre of the desert is hard to beat. The service was attentive without being intrusive which allows you to sit back and take in the beauty of your surrounds. Blankets are provided in case it gets cool , but worth taking a jacket as well.More

We had a very special unforgettable time. Setup, food, service, Astronomer, 4-wheel Driver Vehicle, informations, Didgeridoo Player all earn 5 ⭐️! I have been worried about one comment from a visitor, who had a bad experience with fellow noicy travellers. In our case everyone has...been very respectful for the occasion! Well done!More

There are two options for dining under the stars when visiting Uluru-Kata. Tali Wiru is a wonderful option. The open air venue has limited space so it's a more serene, relaxed experience, the night we went there were less than 20 guests in total. The...panoramic view is spectacular and it's truly special to be sipping sparkling wine, eating delicious canapes while enjoying golden hour in the desert. In September, closed shoes, trousers and a puffer jacket were necessary once the sun went down but there are heaters around the tables and blankets at each chair so we weren't cold. The service, food and matching wines were very good with generous servings. Before dessert there was a stargazing talk. It was wonderful to gaze at the entire night sky and see unlimited stars and occasional planes flying over. After dinner we sat around a roaring campfire for an after dinner drink before happily returning to our accommodation.More

Fine-dining under the stars, it’s really memorable and pleasant experience. Canapés were good, even better than the meal itself. The 3-course meal was delicious but not as mind-blowing as some may comment. The bush food introduction and tasting, the star gazing session before the dessert...and the weapons introduction around the campfire had made the dinner a special one. The dune was a small one and could only see uluru from a distance. One star was deducted as the experience was not at all perfect. The dinner would have been more pleasant and romantic if there wasn’t a group of noisy and inconsiderate Americans lodging at the Outback (they talked so loudly about where they came from and where they lodged that anyone could easily learn that they were from the States). Worse still, they talked at the top of their voice during our transfer back to the hotel, which absolutely caused us headache. We were like sitting in a nightclub instead of enjoying the serenity of the night time desert. That was in big contrast with our wintjuri wiru experience the other day, where a group of well-mannered guests contributed to an elegant and enjoyable evening.More

Spectacular evening under the stars exploring native ingredients with the most exquisite service and cuisine to celebrate our engagement. The Tali Wiru team went over and above to make us feel so special and I honestly can’t not speak about how incredible the service and...food was. From sunset canapés to the Chef personally running us through the native Ingredients he used through the course of the evening the most romantic candle lit evening under the stars finished off with a beautiful guided star gazing tour paired with a cognac. It was well worth driving 3000 kms for and will 100% be back again!More

I can’t recommend this experience enough! It was amazing from the beginning to the end. Arrived at the dune to the sound of the didgeridoo being played beautifully and real champagne followed by amazing canapés, sunset with both Uluṟu and Katu Jura in view and...fabulous fine-restaurant quality food with excellent matched wines and after dark, a great astronomy talk. Ended with Cognac around the fire. Do yourself a favour and book this amazing experienceMore

Tali Wiru means "beautiful dune" in local Anangu language and the location of our dinner was incredible. The experience starts with hotel pick up and arrival on a sand dune at sunset with spectacular views of Uluru and further away Kata Tjuta. We enjoyed some...sparkling wine and canapés soaking in the landscape followed by the chef explaining the local produce used in our dinner for the night. We were then directed to our table for two (there were 10 others dining that night) and were served our 4 course meal with matching Australian wines. After dinner, Michael our lovely indigenous driver and educator gave us a talk on the stars as the Milky Way lit up the dark sky. I can't describe how wonderful the food and service was that night. Every person (I wish I could remember all their names to mention them personally) made out night a once in a lifetime experience. If you can stretch your budget to afford this I would highly recommend it!More

Michelin Star quality, it was exquisite. The flavour combinations are a treat for your tastebuds....The chef has created mouth watering masterpieces with perfect wine accompaniment for each course. The investment in this experimental is definitely worth it and you won’t be disappointed. Well done Tali Wiru Family you have excelled.More

Magic, Spectacular, Amazing. These three words barely describe the quality and beauty of this dining experience. I wouldn't call it a 'dinner' as it doesn't do this experience justice. Whilst it's not cheap, the location and dining is truly unbelievable. The food, cooked by Chef...Marcellus, was better than a restaurant we visited in Paris which had 3 Michelin stars. The use of indigenous ingredients was thoughtful, surprising and integrated in a way I've never experienced. The matching wines were just beautiful, and the service of the team who looked after the guests were thoughtful and understated. If you are looking for an experience rather than just a dinner, then this is worth booking into. The care that is taken is evident in every part of this. Todd, who was our host for our trip out there and back, and who took us through some star gazing, was a true Aussie character, who was educated, knowledgeable and charismatic in every way. Thank you to the team who delivered the Tali Wiru experience, you did an incredible job, we loved every minute of it.More

I joined the Tali Wiru in early May. After the online transaction, the staff told me the payment by credit card was unsuccessful, so I paid again. After I came back home, I was shocked to find that I was charged for 3 times the...fee! I tried to email the staff for several times, but was still unable to get back the total amount of the refund. Although the food was good, it definitely did not worth for more than AUD2500 for 2 people! It was unprofessional and disappointing!More

Travelled with my sister mum and friend to celebrate my 50th. Was looking forward to this dinner so much. Menu arrived to our accommodation and we were all getting ourself ready for this dinner. LESS than one hour before our pickup time. We had a...phone call to say it was cancelled ???? What ????? It rained in the afternoon for about 30mins. I understand it's an outdoor event but it didn't rain again that night You can't tell me they didn't know before 5pm that this was going to be cancelled, giving us a chance to book something else. No other alternative was offered other than a 'hear say refund". 3 weeks later and we are still trying to get our money back. Don't reccommend, very unorganised.More
