Marksie combines traditional indigenous cooking practices with occasional modern family twists to produce a truly memorable night. The food really is fine dining of the bush tucker variety, well matched of course with charming stories and anecdotes. Marksie has been taught in part by local indigenous women and the knowledge and skills he has acquired represent a very unique culinary... More

What a fantastic August night! Marksie kindly squeezed us in with very short notice, and boy were we happy he did!! There were about 20ish people, making it more like a family dinner than just your usual tourist attraction. Marksie and the team showed us a fantastic time. Great food, including bush spiced crocodile sausage roll, camel sausages, wild barra... More

We had a marvellous time at Marksies. Tales on how he got stared, about herbs and spices, great stories about his adventures and a relaxing but very entertaining evening for young and old. Had a couple of Wallaby's drop in and loved the pats and sweet potato slices. Marksy and Penny are a couple of wonderful entertaining people and would... More

Our family of 5 (kids 2, 8, 10) enjoyed this unique night at Marksie's. The food had great flavor and Marksie's yarns were very entertaining. The kids loved petting and feeding Bonnie, the wallaby, that came around for nibbles. A great memory for our time in Katherine and the NT. Don't miss out, especially if you are tired of the... More

What a unique and fun night we all had with Marksie and Penny, in a friendly and relaxed outdoor setting under the stars listening to Marksie tell stories just like the old days. The food was real bush tucker (crocodile, camel and barramundi) with aboriginal influenced seasoning but served with a white mans touch. (Pastry on the camel, and croc... More

Marksie is is a born entertainer and and magnificent bush "chef". A cheerful family night of great food, interesting bush spices and herbs and a collection of bush stories, sort of believable. The blend of adults and children from many parts of he world all participated in his bush yarns which for a change these days were delivered without one... More
