We had a great night and it’s always awesome to find an activity suitable for our young children, the food was fantastic and put our own camp oven efforts to shame but we were able to buy some special bush herb mixes to take home...for our school holiday camping adventure. We are local Katherine residents and have never done the “tourist” things in town so disappointed to realise this wonderful experience was right on our doorstep and we hadn’t gone along sooner. We will definitely go back another time.More

Wonderful to have our locals, thank you for the wonderful review, always appreciated. Although it is thought of as a "tourist" night, it is a bit of history that is slowly sliding away as it becomes more difficult to be allowed to light fires and...More

Entertainment & settings were excellent. Plenty of food, but maybe an additional dish would have been good OR some vegetables. The herbs & spices were tasty, but a little overpowered by too much salt.More

Thank you for your review, glad you mostly enjoyed your night. I have to apologise , I did get a little heavy handed on the salt in one of our Camp oven stews that night, and being a Lake salt, it is very strong tasting....More

Thank you guys for the wonderful stars, very appreciated. We run a camp oven menu using over 12 different bush herbs and spices from our native Australian Bush, none of your parsley sage rosemary and thyme. This is a very tasty stew, and there is...More

Marksies was a nice experience but I would not do it again. I think it was over priced for what you get. I think to charge a 4yo $35 for a spoonful of stew and a piece of damper and one scone is a bit...too much to be honest. Even for an adult I think $70 is too much for what you get. It was a lovely evening under the stars and some stories were good others boring, others interesting..... but definitely not value for money in my eyes.More

As soon as we booked Marksie and Penny were in touch to sort out dietaries...not what you'd expect in the outback! Dinner of stew with native ingedient aromats was complex and tasty. We were blown away that they made us GF damper roll- mine without...dairy as well. Even had our own special GF gem scones which were fantastic... I can't remember the last time I had a scone? So welcoming and they deliver their unique experience with passion... Great history thrown in too. Better plan your visit before they retire. A shout out to the local kids who did a great job on service as well. A memorable night! PS Bring a jacket if it's cool-you're out under the stars.More
