I had been wanting to try this place for lunch as I had heard a number of interesting comments. It began as a place for workers to get a healthy meal at lunch time and continues to do just that, but it also offers the..."public" the same meal in a very pleasant restaurant with attractive seating under outside veranda. There is just one meal available in 2 sizes. The day I went it was a spicy chicken and tofu dish with rice and bok choy. It was very tasty, very reasonably priced and served by lovely staff. The jalapeno pepper in the scalloped potatoes and the garlic in the courgettes blew me away. Why haven't I thought of those additions to 2 of my standards. Bostock was my most inspirational meal of 2018. The setting is textbook organic. Sorry I don't have...an electric vehicle to recharge.More

Bostock is a large farming operation in the bay area and they started the kitchen to ensure their workers had good healthy meal at lunch time. What you find when you eat here is the food is delicious as well as healthy! Just one dish...is served daily, so check the web site to see what's on, or be surprised! Our day was Beef Bourguignon, Roasted Cauliflower, and Winter Squash - just fabulous. The Bourguignon was the traditional recipe with beef, mushrooms, and baby onions in a red wine sauce - really good. What impressed me was the squash. Not one of my favourite vegetables, but this was delicious so I asked how it was prepared. Kabocha squash which is steamed with the skin-on, then mashed with butter, cream, and salt and pepper! Just remember it is a workers canteen and you are there for the food rather than the ambience, but having said that the terrace setting next to the offices and packing plant is very pleasant. This small cafe serves the workers of Bostock's organic produce and is available to the public as well. Each weekday from 12 o'clock a meal is served using local organic produce. Just the one choice is available , IceCream, cake and coffee are available also....You get your meal at the counter and have two sizes to choose from - Small: $11 or Large:$14. You can sit out on the verandah at BBQ furniture. The day we went it was Mexican organic chicken with taco, guacamole , refried beans and slaw. The emphasis is on healthy meals for the workers. A menu for the week is printed on line and features roast pork shoulder , Thai curry, chicken stir fry etc with grains and salads. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and look forward to going again.More
