A beautiful peaceful setting, attentive wait staff and superb food is all one can ask for really. My Roast Pumpkin & Haloumi Salad was absolutely delicious! Great coffee too, and desserts that looked amazing.

We went here yesterday, ordered the breakfast kind of meals and a couple of drinks. The service was very friendly and welcoming! The meals are well prepared with good ingredients and everything is seasoned in balance. We thoroughly enjoyed being here, the location is impeccable and sitting on the veranda with a nice sun.. awesome.

We were really fortunate to have some dry weather to our high tea outing. The staff were all very lovely, well presented, everyone there did not hesitate to answer questions and made us fall in love with Nelson even more. The sweets with the high tea were such a treat, our experience could not have been any better! The bathroom... More

Enjoyed a delicious lunch with girlfriends to celebrate my birthday. The food was very tasty, the spiced hot chocolate was divine and would definitely recommend and they had a very interesting selection of desserts and yummy treats - all for a good price

I was taken to Melrose House for coffee and a bite to eat! We entered the house, and another world welcomed us. The furnishings calming and the atmosphere relaxing. Welcoming staff enhanced the experience. The food presented in a elegant manner, accompanied with fresh flowers. Crystal water glasses sparkled in the sunlight, and I admit that I did not have... Having had a bad experience the day before we obtained a recommendation to try Melrose House for either breakfast or lunch. What a pleasant surprise. The setting in the historical home with beautiful gardens was worth the visit alone. Breakfast was delicious with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, an all day breakfast and a vegetarian all day breakfast. The staff... More

I love eating at Melrose House - not only is choice of food and drink impressive, but the quality is consistently very high. The lovely house with garden is a relaxing venue for a non hurried lunch or morning/afternoon tea. No problems with noise levels or feeling rushed. Pleasant staff and an all round pleasure to go there.
