The garden venue is lovely and the staff were friendly. Food portions were small and ingredients were of low quality. White bread, reconstituted juices . Bacon was undercooked so gave it to the dogs. Three of us had upset stomachs that afternoon .

4 friends went to this so called Oktoberfest. Travelled from the Sunshine coast. The venue was attractive and conducive to a good time. Food was fine but not traditional German. Beer, Ausie ordinary. Not a stein of German lager to be found. Wine very expensive...$38 for a wine from Dan Murphys at $11.00. Music all day from a trio . No compare or change of musicians. Felt extremely sorry for the group two of whom were very elderly and exhausted by the end of a very long day for them. Service was very bad at the counter no separate bar and a,long wait on a very warm day.Youngsters bringing food excellent and well done kids.Overall we enjoyed time with our friends but would not go back. The owner seemed out of her depth.More

We understand the owners were quite new when we visited Arkarra Gardens (March 2021) - things had changed a little and I think they were still finding their feet. The restaurant is located at Dundowran (about 15km from The Esplanade Hervey Bay) and it is...very quiet and tranquil with seating under thatched huts amongst the gardens. We enjoyed our bacon and eggs breakfast.More

Had a beautiful buffet, loved the service and how hygienic the place was. Everyone was very cautious when it came to safe food handling and wow, the service was great!! Would highly recommend and will probably start coming back on the regular for a meal...and a coffee.More

,After moving to Burrum Heads in Feb this year have been dying to go to Ankara for the food atmosphere & wildlife & when I saw the ad for Father’s Day lunch I thought that’s it I am booking. Booked the second sitting at $40...per head as son would be visiting. Arrived on time …waited 10 mins to be seated & we (3 of us) were confused about how to get our food…I asked twice….once at our table I proceeded to the line up for drinks…..waited 35 minutes to get drinks while my party waited for my return so we could go to the buffet. We noticed a lot of underaged people attending to us. We’re told if you have ordinarily menu you cannot have anything off the vegetarian menu although they were all lined up together out in the open some with no covering in direct sunlight!!…the garlic bead was like a small round flat wrap…still haven’t seen the topping!….potato bake was undercooked & tasteless….most dishes had one helping left or none left…..salad picked over with no dressing…potato salad all gone….chicken all gone …. Come back in 15 mins!….30 minutes later went for chicken which water ran out of when cut….told to come back for whatever we wanted as they were packing up…..when told earlier you could not comeback for seconds!…..was one of the worst eating experiences of my life….poorly organised…..one girl for drink orders….my first large wine was half filled & when I questioned her if it was a large she said yes!….next large was filled to the brim….my husband ordered 2 full strength great northern….was charged for them & got mid strength…..would never go back or recommend to anyone…in fact I believe I should be entitled to a full refund for food & drinks 🤮More

Beautiful setting, courteous staff but that it is where it ended today for the special Father's Day Lunch. Students were setting up the buffet and one tall blond lad kept picking up the food with his hands and moving it to another tray in preparation...for service. Not once, but many times. Why was he not wearing gloves and why was he not using the tongs on the table? First thing that put me off. The pork knuckle was the highlight - huge and my husband enjoyed his. Too big for me but the majority of the other foods were cold and not appetising. We were one of the first people served. The stuffing in the half potato had great globs of soft fat in it. The chicken looked nice, very, very small portions and I asked for a second piece and was told "no". I was upset as I had a very small amount of food on my plate. It was ridiculous as my husband was behind me with the large piece of pork knuckle on his plate and when asked was given a piece of chicken which he obviously later passed over to me. Too early in the day for wine for me so I wanted sparking mineral water to drink. No small bottles but had to purchase a large 750 ml bottle. For $40.00 the meal was a rip off - maybe not so bad if you had the pork knuckle.More

We went to this lovely location for breakfast and it was delicious. Friendly service and great meals, then a walk around the lagoons. Lovely rainforest location and little huts to eat under. I also loved that they were dog-friendly.

We had a very generous cheese platter, served with my choice of a Moscato. His was a beer! The young staff that served us were polite , efficient and attentive. The music was soothing to the soul. The gorgeous green gardens were refreshing, and created...a great acoustic setting for the music. Please bring it back again!More
