This is my second visit to Kaikoura and both times I have frequented The Craypot and must say both times I have felt very welcome. Kevin and his staff have been fantastic. The meals have been delicious and the coffee made to perfection. The beer on tap is very cold and there is a good variety. I was able to... More

Very cool little café and bar on the main strip. Excellent food with very fresh ingredients made this one of the best meals on the trip. Service with a smile made it even better!

We had quiches. They look nice but after a trip to the microwave they taste a kind of "mushy". Warmer outside and cold inside.

Interesting post - wrong location. We have no cabinet food; our food is cooked to order; no quiche on our menu. Please try us next time you are in Kaikoura, cheers. More

Party of Rotarians looking for meals with fish. Busy Saturday night so we split into two groups. My group were very surprised to find this place with very few customers as located on the main street. It is rather dated in terms of decor and general presentation. Staff very accommodating moving tables so the group could sit together. Bit disappointed... More

We first went here for a hot chocolate and tea to warm up from the miserable weather,we sat by the fire and enjoyed are drinks so much,we came back for breakfast the next day. This time with weather so fine we could eat outside and relax with our very nice coffees. We will be back here next time.

Great service and the blue cod was nicely done. They brought us the codes for the free wifi and offered us water even though we bought drinks. Very thoughtful.

Had the samosas and spring rolls. Basically deep fried bits of not much. If you need a bite, this place would be fine but don't come expediting a good meal.

One of the worst cafes I have been to $60 seafood platter pretty much all frozen. No oysters but they didn't tell us prior to ordering

We went here for my birthday lunch. I ordered seafood chowder with Turkish bread and my boyfriend had oak smoked salmon salad. Both fresh and delicious, probably one of the best chowders I have had...
