Doesn't look much from the outside but the food was very fresh and tasty. Great cakes and other cabinet food. Needs some more interesting / non sugar cold drinks. Interesting mix of table inside and a small deck at the back.

Warmly greeted as we arrived for my birthday brunch, we sat outside in the warm sunshine and were quickly served our delicious coffees. I had eggs benedict with salmon on a hash brown - with a lovely, tangy hollandaise. My ravenous 14-year-old son wasn't disappointed with the size or taste of the "big boy" breakfast. I did find my hash... More

Great place if on the move for the day, started at 07:30 on a day when we were going to have a long drive. Homely and friendly, had breakfast (sweet corn fritters) and a drink. Great presentation and flavour, really enjoyable.

After going for an early morning run along the sea front at Kaikoura, I was looking for a tasty and filling breakfast. The "Big Boy" was just the thing. We sat outside in the morning sun and looked up at the mountains. Good food, good service and good location - a winning combination.

Great breakfast freshly cooked. Lovely atmosphere. Quirky decor and matching music in the background. They have done well to carry on since the EQ

Great lunch, although not many choices. Had a lovely Ceaser Salad with lots of salmon and a runny poached egg, yum. Partner had a beef burger that was good too.

Thanks for choosing us for lunch:) We have cut back on menu as carrying stock at the moment can be both costly and unreliable for freshness when road closes. Our cabinet smashed in quake which is also normally another 15 options. We are how ever proud of our consistency and service:) More

Decided to taste the local catch. Staff very courteous explaining how long my order would take. Was not disappointed & the best fish & chips I had tasted whilst in NZ and not overly expensive.

My husband and I had a casual lunch here. It was good. Not super noteworthy, but good. The staff was good. There was plenty of varied types of seating choices. O had the nachos, my husband had a burger. Both were good. I have the feeling they are more exciting for breakfast.
