Another stunningly enjoyable visit to Hislops cafe. The food was very very good, the table we sat at in the sun and out of the breeze was great and the service excellent. I always visit when I am in Kaikoura and there has never been a time I have been disappointed. Consistently high standard. Thank you!!

We had the best lunch ever. I had the beetroot salad with quinoa on greens and edamame with almonds.- FANTASTIC. My husband had the Energy Salad of the Day  - Warm turmeric roasted veges on  seasonal greens, topped with feta and toasted sunflower and pumpkin seeds. Finally a healthy and tasty lunch in the southern hemisphere

Really tasty food and pretty healthy as well! Nice service. The only "minus" is that it's directly located beside a main road.

Looked after so beautifully by the friendly staff, excellent food and drinks. Our little daughter was entertained with colouring in and loved her kids meal, that was yummy and healthy! I relished this dining experience. Wished I could have come here again and again!

Only had time for a snack but enjoyed it very much. Friendly service and delicious food that tastes like excellent home cooking. What more could you want?

The food at Hislops was beautiful, we all had the Potato and feta Rosti. Our waitress was extremely attentive, only down side is that we weren't served water and had to ask for it. It wasn't busy, but that's to be expected after the earthquake! Fully recommend for anybody stopping for lunch!

The cafe and staff were all very nice. My breakfast (Bacon and Eggs) was nice but really had no wow to it and was pretty small for the price. I loved the bread though and that everything is organic, nice touch.

Stopped in for lunch having heard this place made meals from scratch and was not disappointed. This place is excellent value for money for food. I was however disappointed with the coffee. Common to a lot of places they can probably make any coffee and milk combination because drinkers add sugar and it's more flavored hot milkshake then coffee. Us... More
