I had a Salad with Chicken and Pesto and did not expect it to come covered in Strawberries . It was not a nice combination. Strawberries and Ice Cream or Pancakes , fine, but leave the protein dished alone. I guess its a matter of taste

Wow what a hidden treasure this turned out to be; amazing eggs benedict, big breakfast and pancakes. Visited on very busy weekend when it was raining. We thought it would be quiet but it was humming with customers. The pancakes were out of this world. The big breakfast was probably the best we have ever had. Coffee superb and the... More

This is a great spot in the country for a coffee and lunch. It is a pleasant place over looking the berry patches. Food is good with large servings and great coffee.

We went to Windermere on Long weekend. Setting relaxed and nice outlook. Service average. Coffee great and came out quick. Ordered breakfasts disappointing. Ordered big breakfast. Firstly it was tasteless mushrooms bland , potato roti bland eggs undercooked and watery and they left off the bacon. Which neither chef or waitress noticed. So we asked where it was.. which they... This is a great cafe just north of Whanganui, set on a berry farm, and gets very busy around midday. Good selection of cabinet food, I had the chicken filo, which came with a fruit/greens mixed salad. Fantastic. They also have real fruit ice creams, smoothies, and you can buy fresh berries to take away coffee was good. Best on a... More

I'm sorry by someone needs to tell the owners to get in new chefs. The eggs were probably the worst we have ever purchased. They were meant to be poached but were a watery mess and contain little yolk. The pancakes on the other hand were yum but it ruined our experience with such terrible eggs. Eggs are 101 basics... Amazing generous portion of pancakes with so many delicious berries. On several plates the eggs were poorly cooked (scrambled had separated and poached had come apart and yolk was over cooked). The cafe was extremely busy but that's no excuse. Moral of the story- get the pancakes!

We visited this place before Christmas, I have been here before and was always impressed with the pancakes. Not this time, the fruit is outstanding but the pancakes themselves were like they had been frozen and thawed, then I found a long black hair stuck inside one of the pancakes. I mentioned this to one of the staff and all... More

A hard working berry farm with good honest food. Their pancakes are amazing, best shared. Very friendly manager and lovely young waitresses. Well worth a stop.
