Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Simple, basic, but feel good food! As australian as you can get. Saucy! The intoxicating smell of onions cooking is too irresisitible, a national icon! Cant wait to enjoy another. Service is always A++++

Bunnings snags are an absolute Aussie legend. If you give Bunnings snags less than 5/5 you are not a true Australian and most likely immigrated here.

The classic Bunnings Snag!
I always make a point to drop by when I visit Warrnambool.
Great value for money and pricing hasn't increased in years.
Consistency can be a hit and miss depending on who's cooking is the only downnside.
Remember to ask for your onions on top like a proper bloke.

This is the spot to combine a sausage with a trip to the dyi store at the weekends. There is always a bbq to be found there at the weekend.

All the hype is true from this old school reviewer. Forever and ever it’s been bread (even buttered too in the old days) then sausage, then onions and sauce optional. Who has ever heard of anyone slipping over spilt onions on the ground? Ridiculous. Over priced and in a world where everything seems to be politically correct for fear of offending or being sued, surely a good ole snag done the way they’ve always been done brings a sense of normality to the world?

Nestled between the rolling dairy country of the verdant South West and the glittering waters of the lower Hopkins River is this giant green shed - Bauhaus meets Glenn Murcutt. The interior is a pastiche of a hardware store, all cheap hammers and broken down men in matching T-shirts. The offer is simple, a perfectly seared emulsified beef sausage served in a naked slice of Chorleywood inspired white bread. On previous visits there was a fine veneer of margarine spread diagonally across the bread. You can pimp your dish with optional fried onions, thick sweet tomato ketchup or equally viscous American style mustard. The result is a sweet, salty and fatty snack that is quickly consumed as it offers no resistance to the bite. And that is the popular Australian street food that is the 'Sausage Sizzle' and this, within a blow hole's roar of the local whale watching spot, is arguable one of the nation's.

Simply superb. I recommend the signature dish which I'm sure has featured in the Age Good Food guide previously. How this boutique restaurant has not won a Michellin Star is beyond me - but then again it's for the best if it means it doesn't become too crowded with people tavelleling from the rest of the country for this deliscious culinary magnificance.

Nothing I have ate in my entire life could have come close to this amazing feat of culinary prowess. The balance of flavours, the smokiness char upon those god blessed onions and that sauce... oh my god the sauce! Don’t let it deceive you that it’s coming out of a squirt bottle, I bet you anything that they have their own secret recipe and modestly place it in those $2 woolies brands.
If I could recommend anything for families, date nights or even something as special as an anniversary, go directly here ASAP you won’t be disappointed.

One can always find an excuse to visit Bunnings around lunchtime on a Saturday if it means grabbing a sausage on the way out. Without fail, the snags always hit the spot.
