Wouldn’t recommend

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The staff are completely inattentive to customers and have the worst attitude. This would be the last place I would go eat in st kilda, go spend your money somewhere enjoyable instead. It’s such a shame that a...restaurant in a great location with a nice outdoor area is spoiled by terrible customer service skills.More

Good atmosphere!

A nice simple place where you can get food and drink. Reasonable price level, good quality and Plussaa from the artist who played throughout our long visit. There are others here, so you should come too.

Loved our meals & the vibe!

Cool & Rainy Public Holiday so these interstate tourists were keen for a warm location and some good food, Banff did not disappoint. Just made it for the breakfast menu and our group had a mix of b'fast & lunch dishes - all sensational. The...menu seems very extensive and service very fast. All staff were friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere, rustic and quirky decor. Room was quite full but felt cosy and hospitable rather than crowded.More

Avoid pasta

Service was excellent. Staff was very helpful but this doesn't make up for overcooked pasta. The pizza was better than the pasta.

Good customer service

Last night we were looking forward to having dinner at the Banff. We had enjoyed a lunch there a few months ago. We ordered one of each of the risottos and a salad. I enjoyed the salad but my creamy mushroom risotto was over salted....I spoke to the guy at the counter and refunded me the cost of that dish. Every restaurant can have a dish that disappoints but if you get a full refund they are doing the right thing. We'll probably go back and I have no desire to put people going there.More

Friendly staff and delicious food!

We discovered The Banff on a tour on Fitzroy. What a wonderful experience, the staff greeted us as we walked in the door and handed us menus. Menu was also on the wall. House 10” pizzas were $8 and there were 13 different choices. $5...house wine with other options and on tap beer. Food was delicious and served within 10 minutes We highly recommend trying this cute little placeMore

Great food and service.

Great food and food service. Good drink. Great place to sit outside and enjoy a sunny Melbourne day. Been to this place several times and will go back again.

Terrible service

Ordered 2 x cocktails at 230pm At 3pm we asked what was happening and they hadn’t made it, then came back later and told us they had no ingredients. No apology by the cashier either.

Best breakfast, decor, service

Beautiful quirky cafe loved the decor.. service was phenomenal and our breakfast was divine .. service staff were awesome .. prices amazing .. we are from the South east outer suburbs.. we would pay the petrol to come .. finished off an awesome Anniversary weekend...in St Kilda 5/5More

Great value, great food

Fabulous restaurant with great food, good prices and really friendly staff. It's not noisy and it's in a great location. It's the only one worth going to I Fitzroy St atm

Can’t please Everybody!! says the waitress!

Dropped in for coffee & cake midweek.Service was a joke! Rude waitress who when I asked for what I ordered rather than what was delivered told me ‘ Can’t please Everybody- you are just fussy!!!!!’ Don’t use Covid as an excuse for slack service in...a nearly empty cafe. Have been coming to Banff for many many years but never again! So many great new places in St Kilda that value their customers and know what customer service is all about!More

Lovely!

We had a lovely family lunch at The Banff to celebrate our daughter’s engagement. The service was really efficient and friendly, the atmosphere quiet and cosy, and the food delicious and very reasonably priced. We felt relaxed and we’re able to chat easily without any...noise distractions. Thoroughly enjoyable and we will return!More

A great place for a coffee

Was in the area and the Banff Cafe looked a great spot for a coffee. It lived up to our expectations and the coffee was great. We sat outside and the service was great.
