A beautiful dining experience with quality food and a menu of variety reflecting local feel and produce. Food is well presented, wine selection is good with friendly service. This is a fine dining experience with serves on the generous side of what you would normally expect in fine dining and very fair pricing.
Creative thought in using local produce so you have a special food experience that reflects Mildura.
Loved the use of vine tendrils on the plate.
Make sure you order the desert tasting plate fantastic value and you get a decent taste of four deserts.
Oh and helpful with dietary restrictions, they had a gluten free bread option available as well.

It's great to be so far from the "Big Smoke" and yet experience cuisine that is truly remarkable. But not just the cuisine - everything. This exceptional restaurant has the best of everything. Food, Service, Local wines and ambience plus! Aussie blokes, please don't expect large serves. Fine dining is about small serves to experience more of the food. It's not "Edgy" food - that new catchcry where tastes clash to jar the senses. No - the blending of tastes throughout the menu are wonderfully artistic. This place is absolute, pure class and considering the quality of the food it's REALLY good value.

The restaurant was full of couples tables for this evening. The menu was restricted to a few choices for each course. I had an entree salt & pepper squid with a small rocket salad and aioli, which was excellent, but my wife passed directly to one of the mains, Barramundi with lemon sauce accompanied with roast potatoes, asparagus and confit tomato. She was very happy with the barramundi, a favourite of hers. I chose the confit duck with vanilla mashed potato, watercress and orange. The duck leg was excellent, crispy on the outside and succulent and flavoursomewithin. The cress was fresh and sweet, but rather lacking in the slightly peppery flavour I was expecting. This would be supplier rather than the restaurant, I suspect. The mash potato was satisfactory, but a bit thin and not up to the standard of what I make at home. I imagine it is difficult to prepare large quantities of mash to that standard. We shared the dessert platter of pannacotta, lemon curd and chocolate, which was delightful and beautifully presented. A minor disagreement over the bill was very quickly and happily resolved by Michelle. One of our favourite restaurants in Mildura!

We had the meatballs for entree and they were cold inside and were like rubber to eat. The Bread we had was beautiful though. Our mains were fairly good but desert was a platter with sticky date pudding on it which was nice but the golden syrup dumplings were the un eatable

Went there for a romantic meal with my girlfriend. Food was amazing and we never had to wait very long but we also never felt rushed. Michelle looked after our table and was very attentive, never felt like we weren’t being taken care of. All in all an excellent experience.

Botanica came with high recommendations. Hubby enjoyed his beef cheeks but i didnt fancy anything on the mains so selected 2 tapas dishes instead. The chichen wingettes were dry and almost inedible and the onion rings looked like they came straight out of a bad fish and chip shop and were very oily and i couldnt eat them. To their credit when i mentioned about the dry wings they brought me a new batch without asking which were much better. They said no charge for the replacement batch. Actually i think you shouldnt have charged for either batch, but then thats what i would have done if it was my restaurant. The lady was very apologetic and friendly so no gripes about staffing.

Big thanks to Michelle, Dug & the team at Botanica for making my birthday dinner such a treat ! Always an amazing meal & great atmosphere at Botanica. Most of our party of 14 had the pork belly or the braised beef cheeks and not a single person left disappointed (or hungry) Absolutely recommended hands down every night of the week. Thanks guys ❤️

Read all the reviews of "Botanica Cuisine by Dag Dewarkow & Co" and the most pertinent feature was the ever present "best bread in the region". I have to say, this was a long way from our real world experience. The staff (some of them trainees) were attentive and wanting to be of service, but again, the "Mildura relaxed" service seemed to be at play here. The meals deliveries were ill-timed and although tasty, were not finalised or cooked to perfection maybe... nearly all the dishes were cooked for a shorter period than seemed appropriate for the presented dish - examples being Pork Belly and Beef Cheeks - both examples of requiring greater lengths of "slow cooking" than seemed to be afforded them. Although they were cooked, they would have benefited greatly from being cooked longer in each case. I went there with high expectations, that were not met. Maybe this will improve over time and response to reviews.

We visited this restaurant based on the enthusiastic reviews. Maybe we hit a bad night.
The squid entree was OK but with a pedestrian salad.
The Murry cod was overcooked and the lemon sauce devoid of lemon. The presentation 1970's with lozenge potatoes each topped with a slice of cherry tomato.
My wife had the orange crepe which was over sweet and accompanied by a Botrytis semillon which was some time past it's use by date.
Overall underwhelming and over priced.

Had a lovely breakfast. Got the Canadian breakfast, which was pancakes, bacon, fried egg and maple syrup. My mum got the eggs Benedict which was pulled pork, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Was nice to hear that I can change the poached eggs on the bene to scrambled if I like. Can’t wait to try more on the breakfast menu. Lovely staff as always.

I hired Botanica to cater a family event in Buronga recently and the experience was fantastic. We were impressed with the quality of the food and the price was more then reasonable. Everything ran smoothly on the night including set up and clean. Communicating with Dag and the team was straightforward. I would strongly recommend Botanica for any on site catering event. We were in Mildura for an overnight stay and decided to have dinner at the Botanica restaurant. Staff were very attentive and the restaurant was in a good location. I had the Murray cod as I read the reviews and I was not disappointed- this was amazing . My husband had the pork belly which was also delicious and had crispy crackling on top. The kids had the chicken schnitzel which was huge serve and the nuggets and chips. Overall a great experience if you are in Mildura. They did get busy throughout the night so best to book ahead.

Entrees were good, we had the chicken wings and the bread and dukkah plate. Mains we had the pork belly and I personally had the steak. Steak was cooked to my liking but the presentation for a $49 meal was less then ordinary. Desserts we had the share plate which was okay but for a total of $40 was over priced. The best part was the ice cream.

As this restaurant was up from where we were staying we went for dinner……
the friendly accomodating staff were terrific & didn’t disappoint
The menu was diverse with many choices,my husband commented that he could have ordered & eaten all the entrée & starter on offer.
The mains & wine list provided many choices in keeping with local produce.
Dessert was delicious- with many options.

Botanica offers well priced, large, mouthwatering meals. My partner and I have always had great experiences at Botanica and visit here frequently. Customer service is excellent. Gorgeous venue. Highly recommend!
