Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pleasant venue, great colour scheme and very clean. Staff pleasant and helpful, disappointed in Nasi Goreng as instead of a fried egg on top there were circles of dry circles off ?egg yolk.

While not being an easy place to find it is well appointed. It is very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The spring rolls were great and mains were lovely.

Whilst the main meals were good, I would recommend diners not order their bread. We paid $12.00 for two thin slices (and they were toasted that is, not fresh sourdough) with a very small amount of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We could not believe...it! I could buy 1 and 1/2 loaves of my artisan bread and it could last me a whole week.More

Wait 2 hours for your dinner ? What can you say when on a night featuring special scallop entrees the 6:30 pm sitting had none available Drinks order taken 30 minutes after being seated and mains delivered at almost 8:30 pm Not what we all...expected nor were pleased with even though the meals when they arrived were quite good, needless to say we did not order sweets or coffee, we wanted to be home before midnight Not the greatest experience and nor will we be back again soonMore

The Telegraph should be a pub for the community. That's the kind of neighbourhood Geelong West is, but now the Telegraph is punching above its weight. Inside is comfortable and contemporary, staff are friendly and efficient. Food is well prepared, but pricey. Bread/sourdough - $8...c'mon! Fish n chips $34, seafood risotto - $35. Plenty of variety on menu for general eating but not much for veg or vegans. And for those who want to imbide - cocktails $22. Sip it real slow. Plus surcharge on credit cards, so much for cashless society, but beware extra charge on eftpos too. And let's not even start on parking!! Sorry Telegraph, would love to support local and was looking forward to claiming you as our go to pub, but won't be rushing back for a while.More

A warm welcome, the real fire made up for the miserable weather. A sincerely thank you to the waiting staff as we were a large party with different culinary requests. Five stars for service, food, setting. Thank you for making the birthday girls feel special.

7 of us were staying in North Shore in Geelong and were looking for a nice place for dinner. We decided to go to the Telegraph Hotel. The staff were very friendly and the place was clean and tidy. It was full table service and...the menu had something for everyone. Food came out in a timely fashion and everyone enjoyed their meals. I would go there again.More

Our favourite place in geelong for dinner. The service and food are all amazing. Staff are always lovely and helpful. The Asian herb salad is absolutely amazing along with all the other dishes on the menu! Would highly recommend!

I drove down from Melbourne with family driving over from Adelaide to catch the Spirit of Tasmania later in the evening. This tip from local friends was a real winner: great salads, great steaks, good vegetarian, GF - covered us all. And not hard on...the hip pocket, either. Thanks to the staff who made our visit memorable and we'll definitely be going back, booking first as it is really popular.More

I will start with the biggest drawback to this place, the parking. The carpark is small and quickly fills requiring you to find a park in the surrounding streets where there are parking time limits. Now, the good, the food is good serves are good...size, the service was good and food arrived reasonably fast. Being a pub, there is the bar so plenty of drink options. The food menu is varied and should suit everyone. Staff are friendly and helpful. Worth the visit if you're in the area, even with the parking hassle.More

Just had dinner with friends at the Telegraph. Food was great, tasty and well presented, but service, thanks to the fabulous Pip, was exceptional! Thank you for making an enjoyable dinner out something special. Oh and thank you for making me a piccolo latte that...was just to my taste! Appreciate it. We will be back.More
