Centrally located Sri Lankan restaurant, had nice hoppers and friendly staff. Sort of place you would take non Sri Lankan’s as a tasty introduction to the cuisine

Great Sri Lankan authentic fare, lovingly prepared in the traditional way. The aromatic smells welcome you as you walk in and prepare you for the upcoming delights. Homely atmosphere, friendly service in an unpretentious surroundings. The dishes are very tasty and balanced, yet the range...is quite limited, just be patient as the chefs take the time to prepare them properly, so no rush here :) In summary: A very good experience at modest prices. Highly recommended!More
This fantastic restaurant is an absolute must to visit. The staff are very friendly and the meals were fabulous! Service is fast and the food fresh. For those like me, who have food allergies, this restaurant caters for you. I was able to have three...courses without any fuss. I highly recommend you leave room for their award winning baked custard dessert that tastes like sticky date pudding! Our meals were fresh and delicious, vegan and vegetarian are well catered for too. If you haven't tried Sri Lanka food before make sure you check this one out!More

🍴10/10 As food bloggers, we are always on the look out for new and exciting cuisines. My partner and I have never tried Sri Lankan food so we decided to give Rook a go. We were BLOWN away. It was hands down one of the...best meals we have had in a very long time: ✅wait staff were friendly and attentive, explaining the menu selection with helpful pictures. I would love to interact with the staff more when we visit again. ✅the food was incredible. No faults at all. Presented and executed to an exceptional standard. Our favourite dish was the Kuttu! ✅the atmosphere was homely. Cosy, yet intimate with a beautiful open kitchen concept. I would highly recommend Rook to anyone! Kind regards, Kiwi & Lolaa 🥝More

A great find with new tastes to try. I tried and enjoyed the jackfruit curry and rice hoppers. The flavours of the curry were well matched with the coconut sambal and turmeric gravy. This was the first time I’d eaten jackfruit. It is a versatile...vegetable and held the flavours well. I’ll be backMore

Great restaurant, friendly staff, varied menu, food served in good time, no trouble to explain the dishes to us. We had an enjoyable meal of hoppers, not too spiced! And finished with a special coffee the proceeds of which went to the bushfire appeal !
