3 of us went to dinner here and ended up sharing a few starters. These were the antipasto, saganaki, and meatballs. They were all excellent. We also shared a main, which was the warm calamari salad. This too was excellent. The staff were very friendly...and polite. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend. 10/10.More

The service and meal was absolutely perfect. The five of us all ordered different meal, all were perfect. Reasonable prices, given it’s a tourist area. Give it a go you will not be disappointed….. cheers

This pub was recommended by a few locals separately so I thought I’d give it a go on their advice. We weren’t disappointed. This place has awesome food. If the locals recommend it go with that as they would know. I’d go again.

Stopped in after looking for a place to grab some lunch, ended up picking the steak sanga, was absolutely delicious. Friendly service, quick on food and nice and cosy. Will be back to try the pizza.

Friendly service and very accommodating. The pizzas are delicious, we didn't have to wait long and the old pub has a welcome feel. Its good to see the history in the decor and furniture. We will always re-visit.

Being a Monday dining options were limited but reviews for here were good so I booked. Got there early planning to have a quiet drink before ordering There are a couple of armchairs in front of the fire but these were taken so we stayed...at our table. Shared a garlic pizza with our drinks, very tasty. We both had spaghetti with prawns & chorizo for mains, only thing I would change is to have a thinner pasta but the dish was delicious. Service was prompt, warm & friendly.More

After an unpleasant experience at an establishment across the street, we ventured to The Star. We were met by a cheerful and chatty bar tender who embraced the concept of the hospitality trade. Touristy eating venue, with an excellent visual atmosphere in the front bar area. Meal orders are taken at the bar, with our lunch meals arriving quickly. I was expecting to pay a reasonable price for lunch, with four 13" pizza's being $125, with the pizza's...pleasant tasting. The coffee's ordered, I'm guessing had been made into cold cups and was poor quality with the long blacks in cups, missing a layer of crema across the top. Just black coffee, like you would get if using instant coffee, though I did witness that it was made via a machine. Our visit was a one off, but would look elsewhere to eat, if visiting again.More

The Star hotel has great atmosphere. Making fantastic wood fired pizzas. Outdoor and indoor spaces. Service was outstanding, with friendly bar staff.

The atmosphere is quite nice and the staff are very friendly. My lower score just goes because we were not satisfied with our meals, I had the Caesar salad and there was just too much sauce on it that it wasn’t enjoyable to eat.
