Very good. A few small improvements and would have a 5 star rating.

We had all day breakfast and lunch here and overall we enjoyed it. The steak sandwich was well cooked and tasty. We also ordered the English muffins with avocado, bacon, parmesan twice toasted. It could have been so good however at $17 it was expensive for a small dish and I feel it needs a bit more on the plate. Coffee was good, service was excellent.

A large coffee is HUGE

Chai latte was great and had almond milk option. Large latte for hubby was the biggest I’ve ever seen! Was good though. Kids had bottled juices which they had a variety of to choose from. Comfy chairs outside

Had brunch this morning with my partner. I have scrambled eggs on Turkish toast with vegetarian baked beans and avocado, my partner had the steak sandwich. Both were amazing. Ice coffee and milkshake was nice. Sat out the back to avoid the heat was lovely.

Disappointed regular local customer 😏

The Black Pudding has always been my go to for breakfast, but today that changed for me. The service we received was terrible. It was freezing out the back in the enclosed Al fresco area and when I asked the wait person if the electric sliding door could be closed as it was letting a freezing draught in the area, she said the door was broken. Funnily enough it was working perfectly fine up until then. The food was nice but when it came to paying, we were told we couldn't split the bill because it was busy. There was only our table of 3 at the counter and another person in our group paid separately only 10 minutes earlier. We replaced one item on the breakfast special menu but was charged for both items. The rude girl at the register made told us that is what they do, charge for both. All in all a really unpleasant experience. Very disappointed. Will be going elsewhere from now on. 😰

Ruined by $8 funny salmon taste.

Never ever i ordered smoke salmon here. And That for sure. Aside from $8, i ordered $17 benedict bacon too that comes with poached eggs. poached eggs..supposed to poach. Not boil. Bacon was okay. And this is my 2nd time im here. And the waitress that served me(maybe she's tired or whatever)..maybe a lot of customer or whatever..but don't use that excuse since i paid every dollar that i ate there. She seems like she don't really like to waitress..then asked somebody else to do it! Don't waitress with ur stupid face then. Thanks.

Chicken Burger

A local mate suggested the Black Pudding for a catch up lunch and we weren't disappointed. With indoor and outdoor seating it was ideal because we were dog sitting too. My wife said the coffee was excellent but i opted for a cider. The Chicken Deluxe Burger looked like a good option and it certainly was a tasty and filling lunch. Great sauce, salad and chicken pattie with bacon to add even more flavour. Tables were moved to make it easier for our group and the bottled water was replenished regularly. Well done folks.

Had brekky this morning and hubby and I both built our own. My scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection and mushies were beautiful and plentiful. Hubby is fussy with his poached eggs and combined with black pudding he said it is the best breakfast he has had in a long time. Oat lattes were perfect!

Fast and happy service

Stopped here on my way to Bendigo and needed a quick breakfast. I got it! In and out in 25 minutes! I ordered coffee which came out immediately. For my meal I ordered the pepper mushrooms on sourdough which was spread with cream cheese and topped with roasted red capsicums. This too came out within 5 minutes and was also piping hot, just like the coffee. And everything was served by happy, helpful and welcoming staff. A happy way to start my busy day. Thanks Girls!

Yummo breaky 😁. Had Eggs Florentine, and the home made muesli. The Florentine was a ‘5’, the muesli - a ‘3’, hence my rating of ‘4’ - would have been better if the muesli was toasted and had some nuts. A tad bland. Coffees excellent. Would go again. Great place.

Well we found the restaurant on a search for ‘pancakes near me’ but as fate would have it, there were no pancakes on the menu. Food was well presented and of a high quality. I had Bacon Benedict and the eggs were perfectly poached, a standard lacking in many other restaurants. Staff were efficient but didn’t appear to be struck by the ‘happy gene’. Worth a try.

Nice service let down by very boring food

Nothing special here! Service was friendly but food was disappointing. With so many places putting on a great all day breakfast, Black Pudding just felt stingy with it’s presentation and ingredients. A mere smear of avocado with the bacon l(the only ingredient that was generous)on eggs. The cream cheese and smoked salmon was even worse. Not resembling much more than a thin spead of cream cheese barely covering the surface of the toast. The vegetarian burger wasn’t a burger at all but instead a couple of layers of grilled vegetables. It feels like the chef/cook lacks any imagination, which was a shame as the courtyard overlooking the Campaspie River was a nice space. With so much choice in Exhuca, I won’t be returning to Black Pudding.

Great breakfast

Visited this great cafe on High Street and had a great brekky. You can dine out the front in the sun or on the open terrace out the back overlooking the Campaspe River. Staff were friendly and efficient. Ordered the baked eggs with chorizo, baked beans and pesto - sensational and one of the best baked eggs I’ve eaten. Really good coffee too. Excellent brekky and highly recommended

Went here for breakfast and they were fantastic. Its a quaint little Cafe, nice atmosphere. sat out the back in the courtyard. The waitress was prompt and service was great. The food was fantastic. Eggs benedict was yummy, highly recommend here if looking for a great eggs benedict. The hollandaise sauce was fantastic. The baked eggs were yummy and filling. The coffee was good and the almond hot chocolate was great. Highly recommend this Cafe to anyone!

The better half and I just had breakfast here. I had a build your own which I included two eggs scrambled, bacon, chorizo, toasted turkish bread and black pudding. The better half had the baked eggs and a side of black pudding. The food was awesome, the black pudding was slightly spiced just right. The bacon was yummo, the scrambled eggs were silky smooth and the chorizo was a nice one. No complaints about the baked eggs, they were completely finished. Oh we ordered a couple of iced coffees too and they were nice!! 9.5/10

Great coffee and service

We traveled over to Echuca and decided to stop here for breakfast. It was very busy out front but we managed to get a table in the courtyard. The staff here nail customer service! All staff who interacted with us were very friendly especially to our 2 year old. We had coffee, babycinno, hot chocolate, waffles and the breakfast bagel. Fresh food, perfect coffee and quick service.
