When we said we fancied Indian for dinner every single local said to go to Food o’clock which I thought was a strange name for a curry restaurant!
I’m so glAd we did as we had a wonderful dinner and I’m very fussy about my curry and this place passed with flying colours .
The staff were very helpful and unobtrusive, the place was spotless and the food scrumptious.
The samosas were the best I’ve ever eaten and we followed with goat and a mix of vegetarian and meat dishes .
The price was right and this unpretentious eatery will be a constant on our frequent trips to Bendigo

Ate here tonight with Mum and Dad. The food was phenomenal, service was unbelievably quick, extremely polite and attentive. I would recommend this to anyone wanting great food at a great price in Bendigo. Make sure you book though, the spots will go quickly!

I have being to food o clock for the first time. Didn’t book the restaurant was full. We were 6 people we got a fantastic sitting . In few minutes a staff came and started taking order, service was amazing.Butter chicken was so yummy feels like home in India .
Goat malts in the mouth.
Beef was spicy and goes well with naan.
Very soft beef my kids loved it.
Best experience I ever had in my life
I will give food o clock (5 star)
Keep up the good serve well done
I will come back again and again.

Ordered meals for 3 people on Friday night costing $75 - have always praised this restaurant for the quality and flavour. Very disappointed with all three meals, the amount of meat in the dishes was non existent it was all sauce even the rice seemed over cooked. This meal was ordered to be collected at 6:30 pm so it wasn’t that they were scrapping the bottom of the barrel. I have always praised and recommended this restaurant but I am unsure now. Maybe having an off night I hope- but once.bitten twice shy.

I used this restaurant in March 2021 and gave it 5 stars. It WAS good but not now.
From the grumpy old man that greeted me with "yes?" when I arrived it went downhill.
Why ask me if I have a booking when the place is empty.
The mango lassi is supersweet pre prepared and served in a cheap plastic cup.
Their tandoori chicken is devoid of taste and looked like roast chicken with a sauce.
Worst tandoori chicken I've had in a long time.
The aloo Gobi was ok but the vindaloo chicken crude, just hot and vinegary without subtle spice taste.
The naan was the highlight of v the meal and the rice well cooked.
Oh dear, it has declined so much.

I've been to this restaurant a few times with my friends and family and it is one our most fave places to eat at! The food is excellent but the amazing customer service is what makes the experience even better. They are always so warm and welcoming. Even during these hard times, the precautions taken always make us feel safe eating in. The owners make us feel like family every time we go in and look after us. The food is just divine! A must for every food lover!

Amazing! So delicious. Visiting Bendigo from Melbourne, we searched for a place to have Indian food & we were HIGHLY IMPRESSED! The meat is so incredibly succulent & a highly generous amount of meat in each dish. Highly recommended.

We went here for dinner last night and had the best experience!
From the simple things of our waitress remembering when I booked that we were vegan so putting vegan menus out on our table straight away to the food being delicious with sooo many options for us.
We live in Melbourne and I would say we had better options at this restaurant than at home. I wish we lived closer as I would go here all the time!
Very well priced and great customer service!

First visit to the restaurant today with family. We travelled from Melbourne. Absolutely appalling customer service. Staff were very kurt, unfriendly and unwelcoming. I witnessed an incident where a female staff spoke very rudely to a family who came with their kids. The female staff had the audacity to tell the family rudely, "I don't have a problem. If you want to dine on that is fine or else you can leave." I mean there is a way to talk politely to your customers and negotiate such things. Customer service is nowhere near the mark. I strongly discourage people from attending this restaurant that is full of unwelcoming, rude, Kurt and unfriendly staff. There is no proper washroom inside the restaurant. You have to go outside for that.

We thank you just to witness. Being a small place we always recommend to Book Ahead, even if you book on the spot and we give you a table you need to mention exact numbers including your kids and if your need a high chair as well. Coming to a restaurant and then start joining other tables so that you can all fit WITHOUT asking the staff is not something you can do. Customers has no idea that that table may be booked for someone else. Upon questioning if customers ask that if you have problem then YES WE DO have problem., if they threaten us saying we can leave then they can leave,
During these tough times, we are OPEN and serving people constantly, ALL WE KNOW IS WE CANT MAKE EVERYONE HAPPY no matter how hard we try. People who who is they know us too well and our customer service.

First visit .. the food was amazing! Samosas yummy, beef madras was tasty the meat soo tender, lamb vindaloo again really nice flavour and meat melt in your mouth served with rice and naan bread. Very reasonable pricing and service spot on. All food was served on heated plates which was appreciated. Will be back for sure

Food O'Clock offers a full vegan menu with entrees, mains, sides, dessert and tea.
Both the FOH and BOH staff generously welcome vegan guests.
To find such openness and respect for veganism is rare.

The food and the service at Food O’Clock are both amazing. Everyone (from the person behind the counter who greeted us, to the two waitresses who served us, to the chef) was warm, friendly, and helpful.
The food is incredible! Every dish can be made to your specific taste. Even those that are more traditionally a ‘mild’ curry, this place will make spicy for you — I highly recommend the ‘hot’ version of their butter chicken!
They’re 100% on top of dietary requirements and they even have a full and separately printed vegan menu (so you can know that everything on that menu is suitable!)

We loved our meal here, the waitress was lovely and very helpful, and the food was delicious. It was fresh and tasty, the paneer was some of the yummiest we’d had. All of it was great, and if we ever went to an Indian restaurant just for the bread this would be the restaurant!

What makes a restaurant go from an option to a favourite? Food? Atmosphere? Service? Price? Menu? Location? It’s all these and more and so I find I’m returning to this slightly oddly named, family-run restaurant more frequently than most other places.
Delicious food, carefully prepared and served by smiling staff is always a great start. Try the Goat done any way. The Chicken Madras. Or the Saag Paneer. It’s all delicious. Be brave and ask for medium spiciness and get as many if the accompaniments as you dare - but remember the serves are large.
It’s BYO with a liquor shop next door.

The food and staff are amazing. This restaurant never disappoints. I often visit Bendigo for work and i make sure I come here at least once each visit. Their vegetarian options are full of flavour and are always leaving me satisfied.
