Although the portions here were a decent size, the quality was not great. If size is everything to you this is your place.
The dining room was so noisy talking to people around was next to impossible and the service was not great. In short I won’t come back out of choice.
The bar was not great with a very limited choice.

Had a second lunch here and not disappointed. Staff are great, efficient and friendly.
Drinks out quickly.
Food is tasty and large serves, worth the prices. Actually the prices are in line with any other cafe.
Only issue is the Hotel signs hanging out the front which misleads some into thinking it is still a hotel over a cafe. If they remove the signs it wouild be so much better.
This cafe is always very busy at lunch.
Chicken satay is delicious. As with Chicken Noodles.
Both dishes highly recommended.
Will return. Do yourself a favor and try Lazy Moes.

Tolerable booze & service, but the surely the ugliest, glitziest pub renovation in the State of Victoria. It kinda drove me out of the place.
Pity, as the pub has some real history.

Ordered a steak sandwich with salad and chips and it was so big i could not eat it all. The sandwich was one of the best i have ever eaten and the chips were crisp and hot.Looking at the other meals being delivered to the tables they were all extra large, the menu started with breakfast until 4 pm and a lunch and dinner menu and also a pancake list.

We had a takeaway double meal each. What a mistake. All four meals were dreadful. We ordered a normal bruschetta the toast was fine, very hard and solid But the tomatoes were massive cherry tomatoes halved. Six of mine where green. The basil was whole leaves so dripping wet in oil. Looked like wet grass Nd did not any of that. I think that need to measure a drizzle not soaking in oil running all down my arms and on my clothes. The foil container was completely covered on the bottom. Yuk.
I looked at the lamb bbq ribs. They looked boiled and there was a lot but very fatty and very tough. No colour except two very small ones had bbq sauce nothing else as there wasn’t any more.
There was half the container of skinny cold fries. The few veggies were rock hard. I didn’t see my husbands as he empty it all in the bin. Said it was disgusting. All four took 28 minutes and we had to wait in the freezing cold outside. My husband he would have rather have given the $75 to charity than throw it away on rubbish food like that again.
We won’t be back.

We had lunch with a total of 5 people late Jan 2021, we had never been or heard of this place or the other restaurants of the same name around Victoria.
The menu is huge as with the meals at a moderate price, how they support this huge menu is really incredible . I had a Chicken Parma now I think I can eat well it was beyond me but the taste and texture was 100%.
I would really like to see this place really busy as we visited under the COVID restrictions. The younger staff need a bit better on the meet and greet but that will come as it gets busy. It may be nothing but a bigger sign outside would help
We live in Melbourne so its a bit hard to pop in for a meal but we have the intention in moving up into the area.
My Wife and I had a really good meal at a very reasonable price we will be back

All the dishes are marked up at least 10-15% above the norm. The food was average, the plates seemed large but that was just because of the fries. Food was salty. In general I was Unimpressed but more problematic is that a wait staff kicked my baby’s high chair and caught her fingers under the table. Even though it was unintentional, it was still not a pleasant experience as we ended up dealing with a crying baby when we were hoping to enjoy a good meal. Disappointedly we didn’t get that.
Not keen to go back.

We called in for lunch on Friday at around 2 pm and decided to have a big breakfast which is available up to 4 pm, the restaurant was quite and the young woman that served us did not stop the whole time we were there. The restaurant was spotless. The food was very good and the meals were large.

Went out for dinner, my partner ordered a steak medium rare. It took an exceptionally long time to come out and when it did the steak was so tough and overcooked it could not be cut with a steak knife. Once staff were alerted to the fault they became rude and defensive and did not apologise for the poor quality meal. The waitresses avoided our table the rest of the night because they knew the had stuffed up. We will never return because of the way they handled the complaint, they basically blamed us for their substandard food đź‘Ž

Was craving steak and went to have dinner there with a friend. Not our first or second time going there but tonight was very disappointing as we were so excited and hungry. I ordered a medium rare T-Bone and when got served, I was in disbelief with how it look as I wasn’t expecting it to be burnt. Tried to brighten up the photo in case it’s my camera lighting that makes it look so burnt but even if it’s brighten up , burnt is burnt. Steak was very bitter and yes, burnt. For $35+, expected to be better.

WORST service & food in Bendigo, years ago they use to be so so good & would have highly recommended it
The staff were extremely rude, unprofessional service, especially from the older lady with black glasses & blonde hair who started being disrespectful, absolutely ruined my friends birthday & now I’m so embarrassed I invited them to such an awful place. The veggies were very cold and raw while the pasta was hard and rubbery & my friend got food poisoning. They were hurrying us to order, kept looking at us and then their watches even though they didn’t close for another hour and a bit, whilst others were coming in to also sit down & order.
Very sad & disheartening experience, it really doesn’t take alot to be kind.

This would have to of been the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with.
The female that served us had a poor attitude.
It was an uncomfortable and we couldn’t wait to get out.
Don’t go there!

Consensus was that this restaurant was most likely an 8/10. What was great:
1/ the food was lovely, portion sizes were way too much, double the size of what any other restaurant anywhere would serve, which can be wasteful if you don’t eat much at all but a huge menu to choose from which kept everyone happy.
What was disappointing:
1/ such a loud space inside the venue! It wasn’t even full but we had to nearly yell to hear each other speak. Acoustics are terrible and probably wouldn’t go again just because of this! So so loud!
2/ staff were nice but need to be trained better to attend customers, even just clearing a table, perhaps ask if another round of drinks is needed, I would’ve thought that was standard?
Overall food was nice but just way too loud inside, I don’t like having to yell across the table to have a conversation.

Went here for a family lunch on a Sunday. Attentive staff, plenty of room, extensive menu. Unfortunately the food is just 'average' and my lunch was just barely hot enough to eat (I resisted sending it back to the kitchen). The portion sizes are ridiculously large only one person in our group managed to finish their meal. A smaller menu with entree size options might cut down on the unnecessary waste that must occur here. Underwhelming is probably the most accurate description; not a 'don't go here' review but certainly temper your expectations - it's just 'okay'.
