Really excellent Spanish restaurant in Ballarat. Good as any I've been to. Highly recommended. Great tapas.
What a lively, welcoming place! We loved our meal with so many flavoursome dishes, great wine, lovely service and well proportioned servings. The $65 “feed me” makes it easy and is a really generous sampling of wonderful flavours and tastes. Such personalised and pleasant service...even though it was so full and busy. Highly recommend. Love the quirky eclectic decor too!More
Last time we went here (must have been 2-3 years ago) we had the feed me option and were so impressed…there was so much food and everything was amazing! This time we took a family member as a special treat and the feed me option...at $65 per head left us sadly wanting. I am sure that last time we had more like 10 tapas dishes, but this time we had only 8 dishes between 3 of us. Of the 8, three of them were veggies (broccolini, red pepper and mushrooms) so not overly filling. The chicken was a bit dry and tasteless, the beef cheek which on the last occasion was melt in your mouth soft, was also a bit dry. I always look forward to the sea food, but apart from one oyster each (which I couldn’t eat as I don’t like oysters uncooked) there was none. No octopus, no calamari, no prawns no anchovy nothing! When we enquired about the sea food they told us they had probably sold out of the seafood options at lunch so the chef had not included any in the feed me option. As the waitress was telling us this, the couple beside us were enjoying their prawns. What the??? After looking at the amount of food we got for $65 - most of which were the cheaper dishes, I figured it would’ve been much cheaper to order off the menu and would have enjoyed my meal more and been able to eat what I actually like. For desert because I am gluten free I got the Spanish cream brûlée which is lovely but the others literally got one small churro each and a small cup of chocolate sauce to share plus this piece of bland and tasteless almond cake. I asked the waitress if we could all have the brûlée but she said we aren’t allowed to choose. The others couldn’t even eat the cake so they got one little churro and a splash of sauce. I was so disappointed ☹️More
Excellent. Food, ambience and service. Wonderful experience Would definitely go back when in Ballarat. Will recommend to friends.
Thoroughly enjoyed our paella in this buzzing Spanish restaurant. Staff were attentive and food was wonderful.
Amazing decor and a great vibe and we mostly enjoyed our meal. The cocktail we had, Pinto Rosa, was awesome! Bottom left: Chorizo bruschetta with cheese and honey 5 🌟 Top left: Scallops with red sauce and breadcrumbs 1 🌟 (The tomato over powered the...scallop) Bottom right: Fried calamari with rocket and ailoli 5 🌟 Top left: Fried eggplant drizzled with molasses - eggplant gorgeous 5 🌟 the molasses a big NO.More
El mejor restaurante en Ballarat. Wow from the moment you walk in you think you are in another country, music vibe and the Amber beer was great and each dish has its own unique flavor and style. We were luck to be served by someone...who spoke spanish super friendly, attentive and added to a wonder experience.More
Just missed the dancers. Pity. However the vibe was good, the decor interesting and I liked it. Staff attentive. Food was yummy. Really liked it. Would definitely go again. I didn't like the chorizo much. Found the texture too fine.. Loved the eggplant. Super tasty...olives, albeit I like them slightly warmed.More
On a recommendation we went to Meigas a wonderful tapas restaurant. We had lots of small dishes & each & every dish was delicious. The staff were absolutely delightful & absolutely nothing was too much trouble. A delightful night with great food.
We were struggling to find a suitable restaurant for my mother in law who is a vegetarian. Thankfully the hotel reception we were staying at suggested this joint. Great little place. Sangria to die for, and as a meat eater, even I enjoyed the veggie...dishes.More
Great atmosphere and super friendly staff. Food was amazing, loved the tapas selection and delicious authentic dishes. Fantastic service.
Absolutely loved this experience, the food was great, we really enjoyed the variety & the flavours were spot on, it’s not often these days that the service is as good as the food but here it certainly was, my only complaint all be it a...little one was that as we were dining here for the first time it wasn’t explained us that it was a 2 hour sitting so we missed out on having dessert, having said that we were so full it probably stopped us from in uncomfortable sleep.More
