Went to lunch with a group of 7 and we were served a veggy burger with the bun so over toasted that it was brittle, also a beef sandwich with steak that was that overcooked it was almost uneatable. The other 5 meals were reasonable....Sunday 22 NovemberMore

Today friends and our kids went to RH for lunch. We had just received our meals when one of our kids came out to tell us that his pants had been ripped by something. We went into the play area to find an exposed nail...approximately 1 inch. We alerted a female staff member who came to have a look and then went to get the venue manager. We had pulled the nail out and made the kids aware not to go in that section. She was apologetic and offered to by him new pants. Nothing was done however to the area it was discovered. There were also exposed hooks where equipment wasn’t secured properly. As this all took some time, once we had returned to our meals, they were stone cold. We asked the same venue manager over and just explained our meals were now cold.. we just wanted partial refunds which was refused by the venue manager who was very condescending and rude. She was calling us “honey” amongst other things and she was asked to not. She refused any form of refund and said I can cook you new meals, we didn’t want to keep eating though as we’d all lost our appetites. She then said ok so you want nothing then? Before just walking off… What a disgraceful representation of a family bistro. They then had a waiter bring over a tiny bowl of onion rings?? We now don’t even care about the refunds ($40+ mains pp) we are just thankful the kids are ok and are wanting to warn others of the dangers of the playground and careless staff.More

Liam, Kate and staff always greet you with a smile. You can't go past Parma night, so many to choose from and they are always super delicious. We have had many meals their and they never disappoint. The staff are a credit to the business.

We went to the Robin Hood for lunch, there were 10 of us and we all had a fantastic time!!! Everyone’s meals were amazing!!! The staff were lovely and it was a great atmosphere!! We will definitely go back there again! 🥂🍾

Saturday 20/11/2021 visited first time. Corned beef was delicious and meal hot 9/10 ,Chicken Kiev 7/10, salad nice, sauce tasty, chips hot But garnish very limp, only real complaint of the meal BUT looks also do count so it disappointed the presentation side of the...meal. Service good, would return even to try other dishes.More
We came for a 2 night stay at Ballarat and heard about Robin Hood Family Bistro so we thought we’d give it a try. We were greeted by Kate. It wasn’t difficult to see how much she enjoys her job and how warm she is,...she gave us plenty of time to check out the menu and eventually we made a booking for the evening. I’ve never been to a restaurant/pub where they have 33 varieties for Parma! Kate recommended Parma on the menu for the evening as they had a Parma deal - buy one Parma and get the second Parma for $5! After some consideration we gave it a go and it never disappoint! Not only they were delicious, but the portion was huge and came with fresh salads and very tasty chips! We were too full for deserts at the end so we had to give it a miss. Kate was a lovely lady and we saw how passionate she was at her job and despite being a very busy Thursday night, she never forget to come by to check on us to ensure we enjoyed our meal. She’s great asset to the pub and if we ever return to Ballarat again we will surely be back again.More
Havnt lived in ballarat long but so happy we found this place- staff are consistently awesome, food is great - we won’t go anywhere else

We had over 30 people confirmed for lunch and another 20 for drinks (over 50 in total) but the venue we had booked weeks ago ~ the Robin Hood hotel decided to half the space in their function room regardless of the amount of people...attending our event!! They have been horrible to deal with so we now have to find another venue last minute !! Don’t ever trust the a Robin Hood with your function it’s been a disaster!!More

I can’t believe that in 2020 so called “Chef’s” still deep fry Schnitzels & Parma’s. Choose another career. It isn’t that hard to pan fry or cook on a grill plate. No real structure either when it comes to ordering meals, no clear signage showing...“Order Here”. They need to do a lot better I’d say.More
Had Sunday Lunch Seniors Chefs Special $15 Roast Pork would have been nice if they gave us some Crackling and Apple Sauce when we asked why we had neither answer was " We have ran out of it ," maybe they should have informed us...of that when ordering , I would have ordered something else.More
We a family of 6 went to the Robin Hotel hotel for tea. Reception, ordering were fine. We ordered 6 meals at 6.01pm, at 6.10 the 2 kids meals were served, we were the second seated table once ordered. We sat and waited and waited...till 40 minutes had passed. We ordered three deep fried meals and a Kiev, which does take longer to cook, but 40 minutes, I don't think so. So I go back to enquire how the meals are coming along and advised we were next out. I took the delay up with Emma B the "manager" and the excuse was that the Kiev takes longer to cook. Again I queried the time factor and got a very negative comment, I can't tell the kitchen to hurry up and I was being disrespectful to her. Wow, what happened to customer service, this so called manager was over bearing, rude and obnoxious, certaintly not worthing of a managers position. We were on our final day in Ballarat and this was a very poor end to our holiday. To the owner of this hotel Emma B needs strong management training as you have lost our business and I suggest the readers of this review. The meal was great, but we did cancel our sweets. I always leave great feedback as can be seen by my reviews, but unfortunately Ema B didn't "choose wisely" this time.More
Excellent food, great staff. Great facilities.Good menu with food at a reasonable price. I came here for my 42nd birthday. Will definitely be coming back.
