Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a fantastic venue! Belinda and her staff went out of their way to make all the guests welcome. Heaps of delicious food and excellent catering for special dietary needs. The cafe itself was set up in such a way that it suited all the...guests. Plenty of quiet space inside, a large dance floor area and lots of tables set up outside for other guests. There was no delay in being served drinks or food. Thank you Sidra for providing a beautiful setting for my daughter and son-in-law’s wedding reception. A perfect evening.More

Had the pleasure of visiting this great little oasis in Learmonth. The venue is very clean and has a few different areas that vary in decor to suit various tastes. Whilst the food is really good, its a little overpriced for what is served. I...had the BLT with fries and at $18, I expected a little more food for my money. The staff were very pleasant, polite and attentive. Parking is easy as there are no other businesses competing for space. Boutique wine and beers. All in all, this place is worth a visit if you happen to be passing that way.More

We have been here for family lunches. Good coffee. Sidra cider is delicious. Simple meals focused on freshness and good flavours, with choices of plant based meals as well as meat. Service is friendly- meals are brought to the table quickly and we’ve only ever...found the cafe operators to be warm and genuine and nothing is too much trouble. A lovely place to pause. After lunch it’s nice to take the walking track up Bankin Hill on the outskirts of Learmonth and take in the views across the district, or to drive across to Lambley Nursery in Ascot.More

This is a fabulous stop on the road into Ballarat. They are only open from 10.00am until 4.00pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday but they serve delicious hand crafted food, excellent coffee and a great range of ciders at very reasonable prices. The place is...warm and cosy on a cold day and there is a lovely outdoor area for the better weather. The service is exceptional - the owners make you feel at home and check up on you several times throughout your meal. For grey nomads, there is a huge area to park up with your caravan or motor home and you will be looked after and provided with plenty of local knowledge. Great place for a lunch stopover or for just a coffee and cake.More

Had a very pleasant visit to this cafe on a Sunday. Coffee was great and service impeccable. To top it off, my son said it was the ‘best bacon sandwich he has ever had!’

The address 321 High Street, Learmonth which is about 15 mins NW of Ballarat. But so worth the extra time to visit this wonderful cafe! What we first saw was a cidery / cafe / restaurant behind an old building that has been renovated to...‘suit the environment’...... then next came the customer service, a young woman that was exceptional in this role. We would return here just for her friendly smile alone! But overall, great food and service in a unique environment. It’s a must visit if you are anywhere near Ballarat.More

We visited Cafe Sidra with a group from the Peugeot Car Club. We had long tables out on the back verandah which was very pleasant. The service was friendly and efficient. We had a limited menu but still with a good selection all of which...was very tasty. Wine and coffee were also available. A good time was had by all!More

My friend and I both have very restrictive dietary issues. We're generally not terrible hopeful that we can find somewhere to eat. We stopped to check out the menu and the staff (I assume the owners) at the cafe went out of their way to...ensure we had an amazing lunch with nothing that could kill us (always a bonus!). Our meals were so good, and the lengths that were gone to, to ensure we had a great meal were exemplary. We'll definitely be back if our work brings us out that way again. Thank you from 2 very happy customers!More

As we used to visit 321 Learmonth Cafe and often drove out to take visitors there, we thought we would try the cafe in its new incarnation. Very disappointing. When we arrived it was not particularly busy, although there was one table with a lot...of people at it. But we were ignored for quite a while, although we were sitting only a couple of metres from the barista. We would have walked out except we were hungry and there is nowhere else to eat in Learmonth. We finally managed to attract the attention of a waiter, and eventually a menu board was brought over. When the most appetising thing on the menu is an egg and bacon roll you know you are not in for a good lunch. What’s more it was not even good - the egg was just a rubbery mass, and horrible sweet chutney was put on the roll. The same chutney was on my companion's burger. My chosen beverage (from a very short list) was not available. When we went to pay, we couldn’t pay by EFTPOS; only credit cards were accepted by the fancy payment system. No, we won't be taking visitors there any more.More

Cafe Sidra located at the former 321 Learmonth Cafe site offers a very good range of brunch and lunch dishes. Associated with this cafe is a small providore setup promoting local produce including wines, beers and ciders. Located in Learmonth, this cafe is a 15-20...minute drive from Ballarat on the way to Lexton and Avoca.More

This is a great place where the passion the staff put into it can be experienced. Lovely place with lots to offer. Food and coffee is great and I'd be keen to hold my next function out here. Certainly a hidden gem off the beaten...track but a place I think more Ballarat folk should visit because it's a good dive to Learmonth and this place punches above their weight and it's places like this I like to support. Lovely rear landscape that the kids will enjoy too! Good people, good food and a great vibe... I can't rate this surprising find highly enough.More

This was our last stop before home on a 2,500km road trip, and was by far far the best food, staff and PIE we had. Great way to end the trip (which included Maggie Beer's farm & restaurant in SA). Did I mention the pie?
