We went to this small restaurant/bar to thank a friend for assisting us in a garage sale. We chose it as it is an intimate place for dinner and during the winter has a nice fire place to keep you warm. Whilst the menu is a bit limited we all managed to order meals that we were really tasty and... More

We were lucky enough to call into Three Steps on George for our last night stay in Launceston. After a big day out exploring the North West Coast, we called in on a cold Tuesday night for some warm food and were pleased to be greeted by friendly staff and a roaring fireplace. Our group of 5 ordered the gnocchi,... More

We joined 2 friends to dine at TSOG and our respective meals were all wonderful. The BEST steak I can remember having, cooked to my exact liking and so tasty and tender. Our meals were all plentiful, delivered quickly and were fresh and delicious. The menu choices were good and prices very comparable to any good dining places. The restaurant... More

I was joining a group of friends to eat and first of all I couldn't find the entrance to the restaurant, or the table where they were sitting. There were a few tables near the bar, and eventually I found my group up another flight of stairs. It was so hot and dark, and with no other diners around it... More

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We have taken on board your comments of being difficult to find the entrance. We have recently installed new signs to assist with these comments. Your table was indeed located upstairs due to the Booker's request. It is a popular request to be seated one the top floor to look over the city. Shortly... More

My husband and I have eaten here quite a few times now because the food is always well cooked. Not much variety on the menu this time around. Wait staff were friendly and efficient and we were shown to our table and served straight away. Before long a large group of people came in and were seated directly behind us.... More

We were guests of the Hotel which is attached. We expected a restaurant experience but were disappointed. We were almost an inconvenience as we arrived at 7.30, given a menu and told by the waitress that many dishes were not available as the kitchen had run out of food. The remaining options we did not consider value for money so... More

I ordered a beer and was asked what size I wanted, in ounces. As a tourist, I'm not familiar with beer served in ounces. It would have helped if there had been beer glass sizes behind the bar for reference. I drank outside in the garden where the furniture had been chained together. The beer was cold and refreshing. However,... More

We were looking forward to experience this heritage restaurant but found the staff inattentive and service slow. There was an event in the hotel in another room but we were never told this, and had to ask for our meals after a long wait. The food was satisfactory, but when we finally got it the tables around us were being... More
