Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The location & staff are both very nice. The menu selection seems fine. I did find that my burrito was a bit on the small side, and a tad soggy, and overall 30 dollars was too much for a small lunch & a beer.More

We went here for lunch and had the best experience! The staff were super friendly and accomodating. We had very tasty toasted burritos which were reasonably priced (especially on a public holiday when we went) and decent portion. The ice cream is heavenly (get the...salted caramel crunch) and we were given very big scoops on the ice cream. Also really cute setting and great atmosphere.More

Was really hoping for a tasty Mexican lunch. Far from it. So bland. Zero seasoning, the worst enchilada I have ever eaten. Just cheese and a bit of chicken with a hint or onion. My mates meal was just stodge. A good vibe just dreadful...food.More

Lovely Mexican themed cafe restaurant. Chilled vibe, friendly staff and huge portions (well for me anyway!) On the edge of the park and college, very convenient location.

As it name suggests, Tio Rico is a Central and South American themed café. The interior decor is in an understated Latino style; this isn't a 'flash' establishment, rather it has a homely, welcoming ambiance. Our server was excellent; he was very helpful and a...great barista. The coffee was among the very best I've had. The menu is South American inspired and the dishes we tried were very good. An added attraction of Tio Rico is that it offers a separate vegan menu. I'll certainly return next time that I'm in Launceston.More

Great location to sit and watch the autumn leaves fall whilst enjoying some churros or slice of cake washed down by a chili hot chocolate.

I have been totally new to South American food (a shame - I know) and I don’t know what I missed. In my Option this place is authentic, it seems it’s picked directly from somewhere in South America to Launceston. I was surround by Spanish...speaking guest (always a good sign!) and cactuses. The food was awesome, super fresh and tasty. I couldn’t have made a better choice to introduce myself to the world of Latin American food. Go and support this restaurant!More

Call to see when paella will be ready, told 20 mins, arrive to no paella. Tried for over a month to get some. If owners cared about customers they would have what they advertise for sale. Not good business and blasé attitude. Won’t ever be...back. Lots of better places to spend my money and always can get what is advertised everywhere else we go.More
