My husband and I ate at Palki Restaurant twice recently, On the first occasion we were the only customers but we were gratified to see many diners there on the second occasion. It deserves to be well patronized. We ordered the same food each time...(butter prawn, cheese and garlic naan, papadam and onion bhaji) - delicious! The restaurant is fully licensed, there's a take-away menu and a helpful indication of 'hotness' is indicated beside each dish on the menu.More
We were looking everywhere for somewhere to have dinner & after walking around & finding nowhere, we suddenly found this place. The service was great & very friendly but the food was a huge disappointment. It was flavourless & bland & everything had some kind...of sauce under it on the serving plate. The prices were reasonable but I wouldn’t return or recommend to anyone who enjoys Indian food as they would be disappointed.More
My partner and I stumbled across this hidden gem last night for dinner .. only one other friendly couple joined us in the most amazing culinary experience I have ever had (and I’ve had a few ) ... from the moment we sat down we...felt loved !! I have no words to describe the meal right down to the house made mango chutney and raita to our divine butter chicken and tandoori dishes !! Wow - do yourself a favour and make sure you frequent this quaint little slice of India ! 10/10 for flavour and presentation and the staff ! Well done - we will definitely return . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️More
Goo d Indian food served with a smile. We had the Chicken Jalfrezi and the Goat Curry (Chef's special) with the Basmati rice and Garlic naan. Prices about middle of the road and a good wine list - by the glass is average priced. Clean...and nice decor.
We will definitely go again.More
Found this restaurant open on a Sunday evening which was a bit of a bonus! Food was really good. Chennai chicken had just the right level of spice and was cooked perfectly. Lamb and dried chilli curry could have had a bit more kick -...my fault for not asking for a hotter version. Both the roti and keema naan were also spot on. Reasonable wine selection at ok prices. Staff were friendly and happy to suggest things to do around the Tamar area. Only thing I found a bit different was having to order rice separately. Most other Indian restaurants I visit provide plain rice with the meal, but at $3 not a biggie.
Will definitely visit again next time in Launceston.More
