Just out to lunch with husband at local launceston hotels. We are at the tutor bistro prospect. Not many here, but the meal is A1. Barramundi grilled just perfect, awesome chips and salad thank you chef.

Had dinner with friends. Every meal was very average. I had chicken parmigiana. Schnitzel was OK but a smear of sauce no ham and too much cheese. Salad was very average. I would not recommend dining here
We had a meal here with friends, how disappointing it was a watery mess, over cooked, won’t ne going back
Pizza are OK but don't bother asking for extra toppings because they won't make it to the pizza. Shame since new owners took over everything has changed for the worse. Looking forward to a reply
Four times in the last 18 months I have been here and this time I decided enough is enough. The meals are just not up to standard.
Dined here whilst staying the night at the Old Tudor. Wonderful accommodation but their roast meal was very poor. 3 of us had roast beef which was nothing but strips of fatty meat, vegetables had no taste. Kicking ourselves later for not complaining at the...time & sending it all back to the kitchen. If we ever gave them another chance we definitely wouldn’t accept such poor standard of a meal & would demand a refund which is what we should have done this timeMore
Having eaten here a plethora of times, its no suprise we had a wonderful meal again Sat night. James controls a very tight bistro with all staff very welcoming & eager to please. My fish was wonderfully served as was my wife's Cesar salad. The...spicy pork belly entree was a simple but the taste was fabulous. Always a bit better than a pub meal. Wheel chair access is very good & childrens play area is fantastic (if you must take them). Rest rooms very clean & quite a roomy dining area. Only thing lets it down is the ridiculous price of beer since the new Indian owners have taken over.More
Hadn't been here for decades. We both remembered it as dark and depressing inside. On the contrary it was roomly light and airy. Barman that took our order was quite pleasant. Reasonable amount of choices on the menu at moderate prices. We both went with...the seafood basket which was a generous serve and nicely presented. Two minor issues with the meal stopped a five star rating. The fish (3 generous pieces) was a bit tasteless considering it looked to be flathead. Plus, I found the fried portion of the meal was a bit greasy (needed more draining before being served). Not a deal breaker though as the prawns and scallops and salad and chips were all nice enough.More
My wife & I dined at the Old Tudor Nov.24th. for midday lunch. Would have to be the most disappointing meal in 10 years anywhere. My Pork belly was served in a bowl with a sprig of inedible broccoli and sloppy mashed potato, no other...veggies at all. The small pork belly was all fat and no crackling either. For $29 it was a complete rip off. My wife had a $26 lamb shank that had been boiled and was so bland and stringy that it was hard to see how the chef could have served it up. It was a very poor effort from a pub that had been advertising good meals. I suppose my only recourse it not to go there again, but that doesn't compensate for a $55 value lunch for 2. So never again at the Old TudorMore
Had a group Birthday Tea, great menu and decent prices, very accommodating for dietary requirements, large meals and great service even in a very busy setting. Meals all delicious 😋 will be back for sure. And no cake fee which is very rare these days....Recommend to get along and try it for yourself 👍More
A short visit here for a business lunch but it was most enjoyable. Heaps of comfortable seating and pleasant service. Great menu and choice of specials. the food was really nice and it is a full bar. Service was friendly and efficient. A great experience.
Really extensive menu with good prices. Really good Bistro food. Was pleasantly surprised as wanted a meal with vegetable and a decent meal. It was achieved easily. Staff pleasant and the Mega Chicken Schnitzel is a challenge for anyone who likes BIG Schnitzels. Would return...without doubt.More
Served raw chicken Parma, steak was over cooked burnt and chewy, crap customer service, never take our family here again, very poor
This is club cafeteria dining. Meals are ordered at the bar. The service was quick following ordering and the staff were friendly.
Had a meal at this hotel last night, ordered scallops and salad. Scallops were very small but greatly over cooked, burnt little nuggets. Green salad had very bitter lettuce, 2 pieces of tomato & cucumber. Partner had vegetables which were reheated steam fresh in a...microwave unable to be cut, tough, and unedible. Waitress wasn't interested in why we hadn't eaten much of our meal, she steamed more embarrased. Easy to find better meal somewhere else.More
