Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I happened upon this restaurant when walking and as it looked inviting, I went in - and am so glad I did. Firstly, the interior is stylish and ambiance relaxed. I sat in the covered area outside so I could enjoy the view. The staff...were lovely, professional and knowledgeable. Kudos to Daniel and Trent. The food was great too. I had the sticky soy cauliflower that was a flavour bomb. Before that the complimentary fried wonton ton crisps with a dipping sauce were delicious. All this accompanied by a Tassie Pinot Gris on a sunny Launceston day. Perfect!More

One of the best food experiences I’ve had for a while. The 2 services staff were top quality. The mixed oyster platter was memorable and I will dream of the wasabi oyster shots. The other meals were tasty, well presented and fresh. I need to...say again great service. Thank for a great evening, my first in Launceston.More

High class restaurant, excellent menu , food beautifully cooked , great attentive young staff. Wine list has some top Tasmanian wines . Overall expensive but definitely worth it . I'd employ a less smug Maitre d.

I ordered the dry aged eye fillet, and unfortunately, it was a truly disappointing experience. The steak, despite being touted as a premium cut, was a letdown. It was overcooked to the point where it felt more like almost well done rather than the medium...I had requested. To make matters worse, the accompanying sauce was excessively salty, masking the natural taste of the meat entirely. Even the side vegetables, consisting of potatoes and mushrooms, were soaked in the same overly salty sauce, rendering them nearly inedible. Considering the high price I paid for the dish, the incompatible quality was truly disappointing. Furthermore, the service experience at the restaurant left much to be desired. The attitude of the staff was inconsistent, with some displaying a weird attitude while others were okay. It was a stark contrast that affected the overall dining experience. When paying a premium price for a meal, one expects not only quality food but also attentive and professional service.More

Strange flavours, overly complicated, overly sauced food and too much reliance on deep fried including lamb! The “vibe” is a disco soundtrack on rotation and the service depends on who you strike, from offhand to ok. It is busy but no idea why - it...is just not that good.More

We thought the meal here was so so. My salmon Thai style could have been more moist and juicy. Was a little dry and meh. My wife chose well with her duck dish however. Staff were cool dudes. We enjoyed the experience overall

This restaurant gets great reviews but we were disappointed with the food. The restaurant charges top prices but under delivers. Two of the dishes had over powering strong tasting sauces which had the remaining items on the plate swimming in sauce. The menu, although interesting...to read and holding promise falls flat. We expected nuanced well balanced dishes, but instead received a dishes that weren't well constructed and some unpleasant overpowering flavours.More

We took a gamble on New Years Eve dinner - had to book & pay almost 3 months in advance, $130 for 3 course menu. We started with a pre dinner bottle of Champagne that came warm and it all went downhill from there. Entree...- seafood, when we asked how the prawns were cooked the reply was “in a pan, but the other waiter will know more” . The other waiter said “ in the kitchen”! Main of wagyu beef was raw, cold, and returned. Desert of “Coffee crème caramel” was runny and resembled something from a baby. So bad we can only laugh about it now. Lesson learned is avoid pre paying for a meal.More
