Food was very simple, but still managed to be prepared so badly. I had a chicken burger and chips- first round chicken was cooked until it was burned and completely dried up, and chips were cold. Second go- chicken better, although still quite dry, and...More

We were impressed by the scallop options on a straightforward pub food menu. I had the parmesan crumbed scallops with salad and chips. John had the creamy mushroom, bacon and scallops dish with rice. Both were tasty.

If I could rate this hotel a 0/5 I certainly would. Having looked up good bars in Launceston, this seemed to be the place to visit for a simple and hearty pub meal. Don't be fooled! The food took over an hour, and once it...More

This used to be the best food in Launceston but it is now very ordinary pub food. Not sure what has happened but we were very disappointed. Meal took over one hour to arrive as well.

The hotel states the best food in town The Service was good But the food was just average My salmon was cooked well done. Tasmania is the home of this fish and even though this place was a pub they should still get it right...More

Ate here on a mid-week night with a large group (16 I think). The staff were very good accommodating the group and taking care of us and the Kitchen did an excellent job as well catering for infants, kids and adults. No disappointed diners with...More

Nothing to write home about pretty standard pub menu, have been a couple of times mixed results some times good other times not. Last time steak was small for the price and sauce was instant gravy with a few minor additions, not value for money....More

I should say at the outset that this review and rating is as a pub/bar only and not the food as we did not eat there. We went with the intention of having a couple of drinks and then a meal. However, the bar is...More

Visited on a Wednesday night, barman remembered me from my last visit (about 4 months ago) nice casual atmosphere and the Chicken Parma was spot on.

My wife and I had drinks and dinner Friday night. Good atmosphere and well run. Tassie Pinot on the wine specials was great. Meals need improvement though.....stay away from beef schnitzel....other meals looked OK.

One of the original corner pubs in Launceston. You'll be greeted with warm, friendly service and traditional pub meals. Launceston has voted that we have the best meals in town! O'Keefe's is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner - it's a traditional pub, where everyone is welcome. Helping to keep the corner pub tradition alive. Sunday lunch bookings essential.
