The strand is usually one of our must eat at when we visit Adelaide but tonight we were let down. The food was very average, the garlic bread was horrible! The customer service was almost as bad. My expectations of the Strand have now dropped...massively.More

Extremely disappointed with my meal at The Strand. I ordered the chicken parma with no toppings… just as a plain schnitzel. When it came out, it was a parma with no cheese… but covered with sauce and ham. Waitress was fine and brought it back...to the kitchen. 5 mins later, my schnitzel comes out and all seemed good. But I noticed a bit of the sauce on the chips, so I flipped the schnitzel over only to find that instead of making me a new schnitzel, they had scraped the sauce off the schnitzel and served it up again. The remaining crumbing was still soaked in sauce. I ordered the schnitzel plain as I don’t like tomato sauce. I scraped off as much as I could and ate what I could. I didn’t say anything to the waitress as I do not trust what they would have done to my meal if I had said something. We complained when we paid the bill, which in the end, I felt like we had been legally mugged! There are a lot of good food options on Jetty Road, so maybe consider them before stepping foot in this place. I would give no stars if I could.More

We were welcomed in by a waiter named Ross (from Scandinavia) who was friendly and efficient. We both ordered the Atlantic Salmon for main and it didn't disappoint.. . succulent, flakey and melted in our mouths 11/10. The spring water was the coldest we have...ever had and refreshing. We would definitely return as the menu was diverse and there is something there for everyone. Thank youMore

Father's day breakfast. 45min wait for food. It wasn't very busy lots of free tables. Had the smoked salmon bagel. Too much dill thrown on top. Didn't need that. Bun was doused in balsamic vinegar, tasted delicious. Had some of the husband's big breakky was...very delicious. Would I say worth the wait. I'm not sure. Would come back againMore

We have been going to this cafe on and off for nearly 20 years with service being a bit and miss. However lately we discovered the omelette for breakfast with chorizo- it was so tasty and spicy. Today we went and they’ve changed the menu...and it’s no longer on the menu - why?? The chef gave me a tasteless omelette with chunks of potato in it. Won’t be ordering that again. We may have to rethink our Saturday breakfast visitsMore

A Saturday Night dinner for 2 Couples. I enquired beforehand about BYOing wine - yes, you can with a $15 surcharge. Quite reasonable. Initially service was a bit slow, whether staff numbers were cut back due to COVID restrictions, I'm not sure, but staff were...running all over the place. Once we ordered, the food took over. My mate go the Beef Cheeks and 3 days later is still raving about it. I must admit, it was incredibly tender and just melted in your mouth. The Pork Belly special was a very generous serving and the Mare Stella (Seafood Pasta) never disappoints. The staff whilst busy were very friendly and the Manager (I presume) was very appreciative that I wanted him to taste the wine we brought with us - I think that's good manners to offer a taste.More

Visited here for a family meal. The service was very good, the waitress was amazing! She just got us and was great with the kids. Plenty of selection of food and drinks and tasted good.

Vibrant, good food, top service, and good wine list. What more can you ask for in a good night out. The place is popular so they’ve clearly been getting it right more often than not. Choose this place with confidence.

While the coffee was nice and the staff very pleasant the actual breakfast was disappointing. Cold hard rye toast, cold sliced avacado a few cherry tomatoes and a minute amount of Balsamic glaze. Not enjoyable.

The Strand Café is halfway along Jetty Road, so no sunset view from the Café. There are some restaurants closer to the beach, but cant say what the view/noise levels will be like. Sunset should be 8.30pm on 5 Jan. Do a walk... More
