Once again Roshni Indian has made our night enjoyable, Been coming here for years & will continue too!! Their front house staff do an absolutely amazing service with a welcoming environment from taking a seat too walking out the door - followed by exceptional food,...even on their busiest nights they still do exceptional well. Re: food, staff, and service, Preet and the team at Roshni set the bar years ago and are still able to maintain that standard today. On this visit we enjoyed their classic Jeera rice, golden Dal Tadka (the best in the country) and Aloo Baingan....We had to order more for tomorrow because there won't be any left over and they are closed Mondays. And only open for lunch on Fridays? What's that all about? If they aren't open we don't actually aim to eat while we are in town. They are the top of their game in their cuisine category and in a league of their own when it comes to dining anywhere in Mackay, bar none. Dhanyavaad!More

Welcomed as soon as I got through the door, staff were very friendly and attentive. I order just a main course. Although the restaurant was busy the food was prepared in great time. I had the chicken madras some rice and a garlic nan bread....It was so good I came the next night and ordered the same again but had a tandoori chicken tikka starter. Food was fresh, hot and delicious.More

Not having rice supplied with butter chicken is like a burger without a bun. Will be finding another place to go.More

I booked online for dinner on a Friday night. Booking system advised that 6:30 - 8:00pm would be my booking timeframe - complete with confirming email. When I got to the restaurant at 6:25pm for my booking, the waitress 'advised' I would need to be...completed by 7:30pm. I responded with 'When I booked, it was 'til 8:00pm". They led us to our table. Another waitress appeared promptly (different to previous occasions at the restaurant!), asking for drinks order, then meal orders - which we hadn't decided yet. She commented that she needed our order, as they would be pushing our orders through, even before others as we needed to be done before 7:30pm - "that's what my manager said". I again said that the booking stated that we had the table until 8pm... she left quickly and didn't return. One of our entrees arrived, which was delicious. Our second entree arrived a little later but was quickly followed up with our main courses! The mains sat on our table until we were ready to eat, making them less than the most optimum temperature for eating. The meals were delicious, as usual. We did end up at the table until about 7:45pm as we hadn't finished eating our mains 'til then. However, the pressure we felt to be fed and leaving within an hour soured our experience. It will be some time before I venture back to this restaurant, or recommend it to others...More

Paid for the food online and realised that I have not clicked delivery, charge of $10.00. When I called for a refund the customer service said she will. Follow up phone call after 2 days to see if the refund was processed still no answer.

Absolutely fantastic food and service, we were very lucky as didn’t realise you had to book they said come back in half an hour so they rang us and we enjoyed onion bhaji, prawn masala and goat curry lovely flavours really recommend this restaurant

Nice tasting Indian food ... glad we reserved because twice on the WE, it was fully booked. A nice change from fish & chips!

We love Roshni - it really is the best Indian food we have found- we have it every time we visit Mackay and have even frozen it and taken it back to Brisbane!

Good but not great, but only let down on small things. The Naan I had was delicious but gritty(?) and the biryani was also delicious, but had a small chunk of bone in it. Not terrible but would not go back.

The meat was rotten and smelly and made my Friend sick he was unable to eat his meal and shared mine instead...will probably never go to this restaurant again...More
