Dined at restaurant following a big day in the theme park. The restaurant is small so bookings are essential. We booked a few days before travelling. The online booking system doesn't seem to work as it kept saying it was full no matter what day of the year I picked, but when I called there was space. So call ahead anyway, but do it a couple of days ahead esp if staying at weekend. Restaurant has 2 sittings 6pm and 7:45pm.
The teppanyaki table was booked (probably need to book super early for that) so we dined of the a la carte menu. The menu was varied and reasonably priced. No menu online, check out zomato if you want to find one. Being with 2 young kids we did the early bird special banquet, which is tailored for families and give kids something different to try without being too far out their comfort zone. Despite feeling a little rushed at beginning the tempo slowed down a little and felt a bit relaxed after initial course was served. Having one kid who only ever wants cheese toasties, she did well trying the different foods offered.
The value in that special was amazing and the food portions were generous, tasty and well presented. Drinks weren't overpriced either.
All in all a good place for family meal at the resort.

With great food and greater sashimi Hatsu Hana is above and beyond for Japanese cuisine and service.
My highest suggestion would be to order the Large in Season Sashimi. The price may seem steep however, each piece of fish shows you that every dollar was worth it.
Somehow, the service tops that. Polite and patient yet fast and diligent the waiters of Hatsu Hana serve with an amazing etiquette. Food served minutes after order in almost perfect order. You would have finished a meal then your next one would either already be there or just arrive. We were not left waiting for food a single time.
If you are ordering A La Carte but want Teppenyaki you will never be left wanting as you may have both to order and you are seated directly next to the Teppenyaki tables so if you ever are left without conversation just look to you side and it will appear.
Without a doubt Hatsu Hana is a must if you are staying at Sea World Resort as it undeniably deserves the score it already has.

This was our family's second stay at Seaworld.. and our second dining experience at Hatsuhana! Our first visit we dined from the a la carte menu, even though we did want the teppanyaki experience but this wasn't possible (only booked last minute for a birthday!) Our initial disappointment turned to joy when we realised just how good the food and service was.. with a special extra sweet at the end, a lovely surprise. Now for our second visit we thought we'd try the teppanyaki again.. This wasn't initially available (which we were perfectly fine with as we were happy with our previous experience) however we received a call back when a slot was available. This was for our Anniversary as well as our daughter's birthday. The grill "show" was so entertaining, the food fresh and so delicious. To top it off, we received celebratory messages and cake. Once again, amazing and memorable. Thank you!

The food we had was lovely and tasty however after ordering tempura vegetables to share as entree, teppanyaki steak for my husband and 2 teppanyaki chicken for my daughter and myself and and two hibachi rice to share, the 3 of us were still hungry! Small portions. Service was ok but not great unfortunately. Restaurant was busy which is always a good sign but only two staff serving drinks and taking orders meant they were very stretched and once we’d ordered our drinks and meals, they didn’t come back. We really enjoyed our meal but would have liked more dinner for the prices we paid. $38 for one small piece of steak with no sides isn’t good value.

While the staff were lovely I wouldn’t go again or recommend . Poor value for money. Not much to choose from on the menu. Only two tables to cater for teppanyaki. Only opens for a few nights even in school holiday period. Meat and seafood cooked perfectly but paid a lot of money to fill up on boiled rice.

We have spent many a birthday or special occasion at the Hatsuhana Restaurant at Sea World Resort and the food and service is always phenomenal.
If you want to experience a great night out with family and friends we definitely recommend the Teppanyaki Grill. The Chefs make the evening super entertaining and the food just melts in your mouth.

All of the food was delicious (we had the teppanyaki banquet) - with the steak being a highlight. Our chef (Ryu) was delightful, making sure everyone was laughing and having a good time while demonstrating his skills. The price was also reasonable ($55 a head and we paid a bit more to include the steak).

We were 2 adults and 3 children. We had a selection of sushi and some a la carte tepinyaki dishes. The service was friendly, efficient, and very friendly. The food was just amazing, fresh ingredients, amazing flavors! Although the tepinyaki tables was booked out, my kids could still see the funny antics of the tepinyaki chefs and we really enjoyed the whole experience.

Booked dinner here as part of a family weekend away. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was super delicious and generous servings. So although it is a bit pricey you can easily share some of the teppenyaki courses.

It’s all about authentic. Been to Misono and then this one. I can’t believe Misono could rank higher than this restaurant. The sushi bar chef knows everything about fish, freshness, portion and selection. I would recommend 100% this restaurant.

We booked unsure how the kids would go as they usually just want chicken nuggets and chips. However with the staff setting up the kids with practice chop sticks they were in there element. Our two daughters spent the next hour trying anything that was put in front of them eating alot more than usual. The food was amazing all round and could not fault. Would highly recommend.

We went to Hatsu Hana as part of our Daughter's 13th Birthday Celebrations and were absolutely blown away by our chef's culinary wizardry, his antics were amazing and the food was next level, the friendly atmosphere and the great service just added to the ultimate experience. I would seriously recommend Hatsu Hana as the place to go whilst at Seaworld, we will be telling everyone back in Adelaide. Thank you Hatsu Hana.

We had tepanyaki dinner here as a group of 6 (4 adults and two kids). Not only was the food amazing quality but the chef made sure to include the two kids in the activities as well throwing them egg and rice to catch.
My wife is coeliac, and they cooked her dinner on a seperate plate in the kitchen to ensure no cross contamination. Any disappointment felt over not having your food be part of the experience was soon forgotten as this displayed the restaurant’s dedication to a safe and great experience by all.
I would definitely dine here again when next on the Gold Coast.

Great service and excellent food. The chef Tatsu made our first teppanyaki experience relaxing and enjoyable as well as helped us celebrate my parents 34th wedding anniversary. 10/10 recommend đź‘Ť

Came here with my husband for his birthday. What an experience! We had the Oceans Song set with Chef Tatsu and everything was just superb. A surprise slice of cake complete with sparklers capped off a perfect night. Great hospitality, highly recommend. Even if you are a couple for the teppanyaki, they will accommodate smaller groups together at the one table. It really is a dining experience like no other.
