Best steak ever! Now don't get me wrong as some of the best steaks have been enjoyed in Johannesburg, South Africa over the decades, however. To find the best piece of steak ever, in my home town, priceless! Located in The Builders Club, formerly Master...Builders, Wollongong. It has always been difficult to find a good piece of beef locally in Australia as most of the best cuts are exported to USA and Japan. The menu at Stonegrill Steakhouse was not complicated or full of pages of steak varieties to choose from but just a few pages showcasing the great selection of beef from the best cattle producing regions of Australia. Manager Jesus was outstanding in providing great product knowledge of the menu and very helpful in guiding our decision to choose the best piece of meat for our taste. Southern Prime Eye Fillet was the best cut and choice of steak I have ever experienced at a steakhouse. Steaks come out on a 400 degree volcanic stone where you cook your meat to your exact liking. After searing each side you begin the process of cutting the steak down continually turning the meat until all gone. I chose the baked potato and stir fry vegetables as the accompanying sides. Enjoyed with a bottle of 2019 Wolf Blass Grey Label Shiraz. Ate like a king! The service and hospitality from manager Jesus and his team was outstanding. 13/10More
