Brunch with a view. Beautiful fresh food, plentiful servings, aromatic coffee and tables facing the view of the river and local birdlife. We called in without a booking, the team were friendly, showing us to a great table and the food arrived quickly. Our favourite...thing at The Point Cafe is you can choose from small breakfasts or more hearty servings, or order from the small and add a few items from ‘extras’ …. Creating a plate if all your favouritethings.More

The view is exceptional however the food was very average. We had a steak sandwich which was oily and disappointing. The prawn disk was OK but nothing to rave about.

Checked this out on TripAdvisor before booking. Must admit it was idyllic and food excellent. Staff were attentive and pleasant. Coffee was really nice as well. Hubs had egg, bacon, avocado, mushroom stock on Turkish bread with poached eggs. He really was impressed. All in...all an enjoyable experience .. Try it fir yourselves :) you won’t be disappointedMore

I enjoyed the Homemade Chunky Steak, Red Wine & Mushroom Pie so much that I have to actually rein in my enthusiasm to make sure this review is believable. Absolutely fantastic dish, amazing flavours, generous quantity, and an amazing salad to go with it. A...lot of thought and skill has gone into this menu, its preparation, and presentation. My date's main was great as well (Chicken, Bacon, Brie and Avocado). I'd have more to say about it, but it was so good she went into "protect food from others" mode, so my sampling was limited. World class flavours plus nice atmosphere, a view, and friendly staff. Win win win.More

Came with my family for a nice breakfast. The big lady there was probably having a bad day but that is not an excuse for bad behaviour. Also she needs to learn names of mushrooms for her customers. Won't return- and the smirk on the...lady's face said they don't care about customer reviews anyway. But putting it here anyway. If you go then ask minimum questions, eat your food, don't ask for extras even if you pay for it, and then leave quietly. This kind of service won't last a day in a metro area.More

After reviewing the CCTV footage from your visit, I’m a little perplexed at your review. You were treated with respect and politeness by the three different staff that served you, you were given the right information regarding the extras you wanted even though you were...More

We came here for breakfast. All 3 of us loved what we chose, generous portions, great taste & the pancakes were the fluffiest we’ve seen! The staff were friendly, it was nice to be in a quieter location over looking the water.

We recently had a very enjoyable meal at The Point. There was a very good choice on the menu, with plenty of gluten free options. It was at very reasonable prices as well. The service was very friendly and helpful and we were very happy...with our meals.More

We were a large group and had a wonderful lunch here. The service was friendly and efficient. The menu is varied so everyone was able to find something they enjoyed. I spoke to everyone in the party and there was not one complaint. Highly recommend.

My friend took me here for breakfast and I had the French toast, affogato and a piccolo late. It was so peaceful by the river and the French toast was absolutely amazing! Best French toast I’ve had in a long while. Highly recommend this gem.
