Due to COVID19 dining in number restrictions the restaurant offers a bargain takeaway option at a significantly reduced price. They even let me "takeaway" a glass of wine as long as i brought the glass back. Food was delicious as was the efficient and friendly service.

Chose to go to Oishii as a convenient inexpensive option for Sunday night dinner during Covid - booked a few days before which is good as it was full.
The food was good and tasty, especially the curry puffs and chicken cashew nut.
Would definitely recommend to anyone and go back there
And the surprise ...Guy Sebastian and his family and Samantha J sat at the table behind us

Went here for dinner, was able to get in early about 30 mins before our booking time.
The food was delicious unfortunately that is were the problems started my meal arrived about 10 mins before my partner's so I was half finished when his arrived they did apologize for it.
They slipped the bill on the table while my partner was still eating we didn't ask for it and then came back with the machine to pay.
We still had a 1/3 of bottle of wine left, we finished the bottle but they did want us to leave. For a $100 meal we were there for less than a hour because they just about kicked us out.
We haven't even left the table before they were changing the paper tablecloth.

I went here to try out this restaurant after a year or so having a bad experience and I have to say I regretting coming back again, ordered fried rice and requested chicken and beef and prawns and no no no no, you can’t have 2 choices oh god no, apparently u can’t do this...this upsets the world order of conformity. I happily offered more money to add in the chicken but no no no.. this wasn’t allowed.. getting very frustrated at this point.. I asked why and she wouldn’t give me a answer, just no we don’t do this.. took about 15 minutes for the establishment to decide to allow me to have 2 prawns for an extra $10.. feel very violated at this present time..

With a number of restaurants in the Valley restricting their opening hours it is good to have a standby in Oishii . Allowing BYO wine is also a plus.
We only had food from the Japanese menu. The sashimi was very fresh, the tempura prawns had a very thin batter as it should and the teriyaki beef was tender. A surprisingly good result

I dined here in a group of 8. The service and food was excellent. There is always potential for problems when staff are dealing with a large group but the staff were meticulous with our order and the dishes came out without delay and by errors. The staff assisted us to secure a maxi taxi for the trip back to our hotel. I will definitely return when I next visit the Hunter Valley.

We were a table of 18 and despite it being school holidays, the staff were incredibly helpful in getting us seated. It meant an early start - 5pm but there was no kicking us out, no hurrying us up. We were able to sit there and leisurely have our dinner. The kids were beautifully looked after. There were great sharing options for them; sushi, edamame, gyoza and sashimi. The adults loved their meals too, a mix of Japanese and Thai. The sticky pork entree was delicious as was the sizzling Wagyu steak. Highly recommend and would defintely return!

Had the best experience at the Oiishi restaurant. I went there for my birthday dinner with my partner and loved it! I have only decided to go vegetarian about one week ago and have booked the place before the change. I thought about reconsidering my option but decided to go ahead and definitely did not regret it!
The service there was very fast and efficient and they have some alternative vegetarian options in the menu. I have ordered a vegetarian Pad Thai and was surprised with the effort they have put into making it, there was all sorts of different veggies in there and the taste was delightfull.
Would highly recommend it and go there again!

I got lunch here on a Saturday wasn't very busy so the order come out really fast.
I was watching other dishes come out while I was waiting and would definitely come back and try it dine in.
I got salmon Teri yaki and the salmon was huge. All the side dishes where amazing as well.
It's nice to have something different between wine tasting, fine dining and cheese.

8 of us ate here and we all thought it was ordinary. The restaurant is situated in what we thought was a winery but it’s just this sort of DFO with most places closed, just terrible. The restaurant is like a large cafeteria with hard surfaces and very noisy. The menu is a mash of Thai and Japanese, we thought they should stick to Thai and do it well. The food was ok but not inspiring and bland, although my duck curry was good. Many of the local wines were unavailable which was odd. The staff and service was ok although meals came out unevenly, the lass managing was lovely.

Reasonably priced, fantastic food and a great vibe. We shared an entree and a main from the Japanese side of the menu...mixed sashimi and nori and beef teppanyaki. Both were generous serves and absolutely delicious. Service was great, wine by the glass reasonably priced and there was a lively but not too noisy buzz. Highly recommended.

Order online for take away and the website was very user friendly. Option to provide note on each order item is so good . Food (Thai ) was close to authentic and the serving portion was great . Highly recommended Panang Duck curry .
Make sure you call the restaurant before going for pickup. My order was given away to someone as the name sound similar (which was not really similar 😀) and I have to wait for another 25 to 30 minute to get it cooked. Owner or the manager was very helpful and sound apologetic but he seems to be running everywhere to manage it .

First time here, during COVID managed a table without booking and met friendly staff. Cushion type menu of both Thai and Japanese choices. Entrees of thai fish cakes and Japanese California rolls, both quick and yum. Little expensive for entree though. Mains of prawn pad Thai and Massaman beef curry, both delicious again and good sizes. Overall for 2 people, 2 entrees 2 mains and 2 soft drinks $90

We made a dinner booking for 7:30pm on the 22 of December 2021. We got there and their indoor area had several patrons within so we requested a table outdoor to lessen the risk of COVID-19 transmission as well as allow our 2 yr old to walk around if needed. One of the staff advised us that we have to order online to sit outdoors so we did. About 5 mins later, another family arrived and they were provided dine-in service outdoors.
We did not even get served or offered to buy drinks! We asked the staff and they could not give us a sensible explanation. We are Filipinos and I thought we had a nice enough approach to the staff. Go figure.
The food itself was alright but the service certainly dulled any enjoyment we may have had with our dinner. Definitely avoiding this restaurant in the future

We ordered beef salad, seafood salad, prawn tempura, beef teriyaki, chicken teriyaki. Serving for salads is really big. I loved their seafood salad (should be called salmon salad instead) I hardly had space left for the mains.
Prawn tempura was also good. Their teriyaki was a so so..
